    Hey All,

For those of you who had L tracks attached to the side of your drifter. Will you send me a list of items I would have to get if I wanted to mount MaxTrax to this area?

    Thanks!

I haven’t done the project, so I don’t have a full bill of materials, but:
Aluminum flat stock, L-Track bolts & nut to bolt the flat stock vertically.

Then the MaxTrax mounting pins attached through the flat aluminum pieces.

Drill bits for making holes in the aluminum.
Debuting tool or round file to smooth the edges of drill holes.
Blue LocTite to make sure nothing ejects on the roadway.

Did you request the spacing on the side mount l track? I ordered that option and am wondering the advantages disadvantages of not having them spaced out as much as possible. Any thoughts?

Pretty much what I did. I have one of those indoor/outdoor thermometers and the outdoor sensor is on the Drifter wall behind the Maxtrax - kind of sandwiching it in place so it’ll never come off while on the trail. And the L-Track is so damn versatile. I also have a DIY shovel mount and shower head mount attached to the it.

Preach!!!! Running out of projects that can be done pre-drifter

Tailgate seal kit fit nicely under the snailarmor flat tailgate pannel. Sink is assembled and the threaded drain is installed.

What tailgate seal kit is that? I have the perimeter kit already but am looking for something for my Mountain Hatch.

Your build is way further along than mine. I've sealed the bedliners and 120V bed box with silicone and installed bedside reinforcements but that's it.

Lots of stuff ordered and sitting in the garage but nothing to show for it!

    Back to the Drifter Tracker...

That's pretty much all I have. Sorry for the bad angle pics, all I had. I wasn't in a position to be able to build anything so I installed a GooseGear camp kitchen.

I am. Puts the fridge up pretty high while on the ground, but I figure it's worth it

I had plans for this but abandoned it due to the height concern. Are you planning on sitting on the fridge as a bench too? You are adding 3inch minimum to height.

I'll have to see exactly how high mine went up due to it. I figure 3-4 inches sounds about right.
I don't really plan to use it as a bench, but can. I figure no matter what it wouldn't be all that comfortable and I don't plan to spend much time actually in the camper. I figure if we have to stay inside for rainy weather then the wife and I can sit on the bed for the most part

I have an issue and need help.

For those of you with a 5lb propane tank that you use hoses for... let’s say buddy heater and a stove.

When you all disconnect the hoses how do you manage the propane trapped in the hoses?

every time a take a hose off it smells like propane for a while. Any advice besides leaving the hoses outside?

As long as you're not actually in your camper turn your propane off before turning your stove off so the excess in the line burns out.

so I started doing that. I guess maybe I’ll try the same with the buddy heater
