    Hello everyone. I want to start a build thread a year after I started to change things.. better late than never I guess. I'll be adding pics and info as I gather it all up. but to start hear is what it looked like when I got it. And a picture I took moments ago
    I am doing this to try to remember all that has been done just in case the truck gets changed more....

    Suspension:

    Bilstien 5100's front with 886 springs on 2nd notch from top (deleted)
    Falcon front shocks with stock springs on the first 2" lift setting (deleted)
    Dobinsons IMS with ome 886 springs set a 8" seat to middle of eye
    some old rough country rear shocks with 2" block removed
    1st gen tundra leaf springs (deleted) -now back on forever
    went back to my oem tacoma leaf springs- now removed forever and gone
    Leaf spring shackle flip (homemade)
    SPC upper control arms
    Bision offroad cam tabs (deleted)
    333 Fabrications cam eliminators modified to accept greaseable bolts
    total chaos cam gussets

    Wheels:
    Pro comp 7069 wheels
    17x9 -6mm offset 4.750" backspacing
    1.25 wheel spacers
    Tires:
    Goodyear Duratrac 315 70 17 (deleted)
    Mickey Thompson trail boss AT 37x12.50x17

    Armor:
    Arb front bumper modified to fit 8247 and the 2" body lift
    Trail gear sliders and rear bumper
    Costal offroad skid plates

    Body lift::) yesssss.
    2" homemade
    minor trimming to fit tires and cmc which i recently replaced with all pro kit
    fender flares removed and garden edging around wheels (deleted)
    tubbed wheel well for 37" tires comming soon
    cab mount replaced with All Pro from wheelers offroad

    Other things:
    • deleted the back seats
    • snorkle
    • OBA with tank hard mounted (deleted)
    • big wooden drawer in the bed (deleted)
    • 12v plug anytime done
    • Locker anytime mod done
    • Deleted the 4wd ecu
    • FJ transfer case with twin stick shifter
    • FJ front diff tube non disconnect
    • Regeared to 5.29's
    • Ford Ranger bed cap.
    • aux. battery with inverter in bed

    • wheel nuts 90 ft/lbs 21mm or 13/16
    • front axle nut 173 ft/lbs 35mm socket
    • lower ball joint 118 ft/lbs 19mm socket
    • u joint flange 65 ft/lbs 14mm socket
    • wheel spacers 90ft/lbs

    Nice find. I’m assuming the sliding hooks compared to the pivoting ones avoid them from popping off. Hate that about my cheapie one

    It was a custom chassis hanging on the roof of just jeeps unfinished. Someone designed it.

    Built a jig to hold 3rd members.
    Tried it out in a 1950 Oldsmobile rear carrier.
    This thing had ball bearing front pinion bearings
    Roller bearing rear pinion bearing
    1 pinion with no need for spacer or crush sleeve
    Very solid pinion bearing seal
    Carrier bearings where the rollers look like little barrels.

    Anyway works but shakes.
    All in all it was a good try.
