Is there not a way to wire the third brake light to a trailer light adapter and hook it up that way? Seems like it could be done. Am i missing something? Has anyone attempted it? Bestop Supertop 2 on order. TIA

No you cant really wire it into the trailer harness as the brake and turn signal lights are the same on the plug. You need to wire it into the brake light on the driver side. But, there is a adapter harness for sale in the for sale section.

Then you can do like I did and install a flush mount SAE plug to make the wiring cleaner.

I like your style, guy! No tapping into wires or dangly leads for us! I'll hit up the adapter harness guy for sure.

Ive never been a fan of cutting into wires, so I spend as much as needed to keep the factory wires clean. The flush SAE plugs are great for when you put the top down or remove it, then you dont have plugs hanging out of holes.
