Damn dude! I stumbled upon your thread from the "2nd gens with 37s thread" and had to read the whole thing. I connected the dots-- been following Ollie on IG for a few years and drooling over his setup. Now I realize he gets his truck worked on at your shop! You guys make me want a Tacoma (I'm in a 3rd gen 4Runner) even more, along with moving to BC (I'm in Montana). I'm definitely subbing to this thread and checking out your YT channel- I'm really intrigued by those videos. On a side note, as a fellow photographer, you're not getting the proper credit for such dope photos. Keep up the rad work!

Also-- nice name and avi... man I miss that game.

Haha thanks man! Yeah Ollie and I are super tight friends, he shoots all of our YouTube videos, but gets too busy with bike stuff in the summer so we only really shoot in the shoulder seasons. Good times though. Works for us because our shop is slammed in the summer anyway.

    3g 4runners are sweet! My wife's truck is an 88 4runner.

Thanks for the photography compliments!! Helps to hang out with Ollie all the time and score some of his hand me down gear. I find that I don't even drive my truck any more. My wife wheels it, and I just take photos for the business of account haha.

And yes, worms is so good. You can actually get it on steam still haha. A couple friends I grew up with play it together online occasionally

Sick maaaannn!!! I can't wait till I have a free lift and free time in the shop to get it on! I have a bunch of other work to do at the same time so I'll probably end up taking my truck off the road for a month or so to get it all done. How's it riding?? My install is gunna be a bit more involved just cuz I have to cut off all the 63 swap stuff I already did, then probably modify my bed cage.

Currently riding ghetto with no bed since we ran out of time, so filler neck relocate and bed back on happens this weekend. But I must say, it grips, it rides nice albeit a little bouncy due to no weight, but also it just feels good overall. I'm a little upset the holes didn't line up like they should've on the front brackets but, it is what it is. That was like a 2.5-3 hour set back.

What shocks are you running? Sounds like you might need a firmer tune, at least on rebound.

So what's the story, there are holes there on the bottom, but they didn't line up? Kinda dumb... Drilling holes through the frame sucks without a mag drill. I usually end up using a floor jack to push the drill up into the frame like a reverse drill press, but that might not work because of the angle of the frame in that spot. Goes pretty quick that way though

Tell me about it. I ended up tapping the frame after drilling to hold the bolts in. The left side is full of........well everything right there.

Fox 2.0s for now. I bought em off @Sociopenguin here because they are the correct length of travel so it'll be good enough for now. I think they might have adjusters, either that or the resis just have nipple on them. I haven't played around with them, but yeah, 2.5 ADS are the future when I can swing the costs.

Yeah, I tried asking Harry what the deal was and all I got back was 'Just drill matching holes.' The frame has exisiting rivet holes that were supposed to line up with the holes in the bracket on the under side of the frame (4 holes total across both sides).

They are not adjustable, that is the charging port cover. Told you you'd end up getting 2.5's but you did score them for a good price.

I just needed something to run in the interim and the deal was too good. Otherwise I'd still be waiting on shocks...

I hear ya sir, now we just need to convince @WormSquirts he'll want to build different bed cage for his new SUA setup and LTL his old cage to me.......which I will glad exchange some fun coupons for.

Hey! I saw you were planning on making some tube fenders and wanted to pick your brain. Are you planning on them just being simple straight tubes for protection or building them for aesthetics with protection? Are you getting rid of the inner fender apron? Sorry if you have already covered this in your thread and I didn’t read through it. I was asked to build a set and have been mocking some up and wanted to see what you had come up with. This is what I have come up with for a template so far, but plan on giving them a flatter shape shape across the topE58F6D4A-07E6-466E-9BBB-C2D99025FF47.jpg

I've been considering this if I ever total the truck or buy a beater to turn into a dedicated rig. I'll be putting in filler plates if I do though.
I'd follow the lines of the bumper through the door line, looks like its not quite aligned with the end of the bumper in the picture but I could be wrong.
Also I'd making it with as few pieces as possible for rigidity, like a bent tube for the main arch.

Haha I'm into it. I want to go bypasses in the rear as well, so I could just ditch the whole thing... I use and abuse it though, so the 16" kings aren't pretty any more haha.

Yo that's wild looking! Super cool. Honestly, I need to do something, but haven't had time to figure it all out. My bed sides and front fenders are literally falling off, and tearing, so I have been thinking of just biting the bullet and going for glass. But I just don't have time to work on my own truck, so I dunno. It needs a lot of love right now, and fenders are low on the totem pole.

Those are just a template. The finished product will look similar to my bed785E9E20-E70F-4220-9496-2BC49E6DA4CB.jpg

right on, I was thinking '3pooches I just saw that name somewhere' I was on your build thread yesterday looking through while I was looking at bed options. I've got the bed off the truck and it just feels good to drive, light, peppier, but I need something back there to haul gear and the occasional load of house stuff. I was going down the rabbit hole looking at caged beds and flat beds.

Did you shorten the wheel base as well with the links? Or does it just look shorter
