Starting to piece together a hoist system for the garage.

Thinking of going with this mounted to the wall in a corner using a pulley system:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0774Q5SZ9/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8

Figured the winch was a better option than something like this:

    https://www.amazon.com/HARKEN-Truck-Hardtop-Garage-Storage/dp/B000K16FIK?th=1

If someone can find this for me that isn't $600, I would love them forever. Really upset they do not make it anymore, but I think I am going to give them a call in the morning:

Bad, no. Copy, there are similarities but every bed rack now a days has them. Only so many ways to skin a cat. Biggest things i liked about victory was no rust issues... and the lines are better. Flows with the truck better. Looks.

It should be the same. I never trust those part-fitment things. What I do is put my VIN at checkout and they'll notify you if the part you're trying to buy doesn't match the VIN, happened to me a couple of times.

    Thanks ya'll.

Got fucked out of $13 for shipping these things that'll probably show up in a small flat rate envelope/box.

Figured it would be better to be prepared and have the parts on hand to just grab off the workbench while it's all apart and I can always resell if I don't use them.

Still need to clean up the knuckles, press in the seals and find a weekend that will work to have a few hands available. It also needs to not be 107 asshole degrees outside.

Your (<~ill wait for it) welcome! $13 is not bad if you think of it as an investment in your future. Since it will take a week to get to you, essentially you invested in your future

    +1 interwebs point

I already had the 710573 part from the thread below. Figured it best to have both just in case.

BOLT CHECK BOLT CHECK BOLT CHECK.

Not sure if I missed it or forgot it last weekend. The past couple of days, I have been noticing an odd noise while braking. Brakes worked and if you would ease into braking, there would be no noise. It only happened on sudden, quick braking. There would be a "clunking" sound while going over larger bumps in the road, too. Odd.

First day of summer hours while working remotely (which, I hope, stays in the future), went to the gym and did some testing while driving. Noticed right away that it was DEFINITELY on the driver's side. Over larger bumps, things seemed to rattle around a bit. Concerning. Thought about what it could be while working out. I figured I have time today to look at it today since I have a bit of driving and possibly towing to do this weekend and I want to be safe. Got home, thew it up on the jack and stands, popped the driver's side wheel off and noticed it right away. Driver's side caliper bracket bolt (top bolt) was MISSING. The bottom bolt was loose (assuming that was the source of the "clunk" noises over bigger bumps. Being a hoarder, I went into my Milwaukee packouts, located a bolt that would work and did a "trail fix". Tightened the lower bolt and checked the passenger's side. All good there. Threw the wheel back on, torqued the lugs and drove right to O'Reillys. No noises while braking and no "clunks" over bigger bumps and potholes. Awesome.

Luckily, O'Reillys had two boxes in stock and I bought them both to keep on hand (you never know).

Got home and ordered the OEM part (x4) p/n 8215-01084044 to have fresh bolts for the new knuckles.

    Big brain energy.

That happened to my buddy on the trail a month or two ago. Top bolt was missing and the caliper had rotated back into the wheel, leaving a huge gouge. We stole one of his rear bumper bolts, shortened it up a little and got it all working again. The crazy thing was he hadn’t touched those bolts in like 6 months. He inspired me to use blue loctite on mine.

I remember seeing that video of Brian's. WILD.

Going to add that to a monthly bolt checklist I will be starting now; especially on the front end.

Going to work on it again tomorrow. Remove the "trail fix", clean everything up, add some blue loctite and get them all torqued.

    Fixed caliper mounting bolts - 91 ft-lb
    Floating caliper mounting bolts - 27 ft-lb
Floating caliper mounting bracket bolts - 80 ft-lb

Here's a nice little chart I found on the googles:
