I have a 2006 Tacoma with a 3-inch lift. I replace the carrier bearing a couple of months ago and it's already shot. Do I need a carrier bearing drop kit or shims? And if shims what degree angle would I need?

Not sure if it was OEM. I didn't get from Toyota or ask particularly for OEM

With about a 4 inch rear lift from ap expo leafs I added 1inch spacers to drop my cb. Were you getting any speed dependent noises / vibrations?

I just installed these same leafs and 2.5" front. I have no vibrations. Do you think I should install my cb drop anyways? I think I might and if still no vibes at least the angle won't be as bad and maybe cb won't prematurely fail.

On mine the angles were really bad before the spacers , so I just preemptively installed em , you will need longer bolts too. You can get everything at ace hardware and save some money.

I have the all pro spacer kit. Has bolts and spacer. Think I'll install this weekend.

I would , its pretty quick and easy . Im sure you already know ,but mark the side to side locations of the cb so your drive train stays centered.

I only had vibration when CB was gone. And I read on another thread that the CB drop is only noticeably effective on 4-6 inch lifts, that's why I am considering 2 degree shims

^^^this. Don't guess. You can measure the angles and use spacers accordingly.
If you do need the 2° shims let me know I have a set.

Is there a particular set of spacers that I should use or can I just custom my own?

I got one set, OME, then a different set with my lift kit. They were different sizes but I don't remember which I went with. You can make your own but I'd recommend just buying.

And with a 3" lift yes you should have had the cb drop since the lift. Most kits come with one and a diff drop kit. The later most do not install

Does your cb have arrows on the bottom pointing to the front of the truck? If not it might be flipped the wrong way. Also check your centering by tying string to drive shaft zerts and line up with the center hole on the bottom of the cb. If its off you would be adding another angle to everything = harmonic chaos

I just installed a new center bearing a couple of weeks ago. It did come with arrows but no indication which direction the arrows were supposed to point. Are arrows supposed to point to the front or rear?

How do you determine the right size spacers for a 6"lift?

That's up there... Might want to go solid drive shaft and eliminate the cb at that point. Post#2 has a link

I've put two non-Spicer aftermarket support bearings and they didn't last long. The 5002334 and 5002007 are OEM quality replacements from Spicer. The -007 has a bearing seal but costs significantly more. I got the -334.
