Was it a deal? Who knows. How much really makes a difference ...

mid recommend being patient. They are never in stock so call and give your name OR order it.
And most importantly. If you will be doing trails. Seriously. Get the trd pro or off road. You want the rear locker. When you are not moving and you lock it, it is night and day difference.

mot course if you got the cash to do massive upgrades on a sr5. Just get a rubicon. Much less mods. You can fit 35s on stock and that puts it at a great advantage.

something to think about. The 4Runner will never be a jeep. I thought I’d just do moderate trails and the 4Runner was enough. It’s been a month, I’ve been out about 2x per week. Ran all the moderates like nothing. Difficult ratings are much more difficult.

so I would have gone with the rubicon, stayed stock for a very long time and do difficult ratings without needing so many upgrades.

    In 5-6 if I’m still doing trails, I’ll do a jeep ;)
But I decided this before I bought. I didn’t know how soon I’d need massive mods though.

So the right tool gor the right job to start with is always best. I know I always over estimate what working I’m willing to do on stuff and I have the cash (easy part) but the damn time. Even order sliders is 2+ months to get them!

you know what you need best )

Love it! Comfortable, great interior space, solid, super well built, fun to drive, and I like having the full-time 4-wheel drive along with part-time and low.

My only wish is that it had speed sensitive cruise control and blind spot monitoring like my 2019 Tacoma OR. The one dislike is the Entunes (I can't believe how bad the navigation is).

I'll keep it for many years.

My 2021 off road premium has the adaptive cruise control, led lights, and the sensor stuff. it is useful. but the following distance is very close even at the furthest setting. unless you drive alot on the freeway, you probably would not miss it. no part time 4x4 though. I like the carplay a lot - never knew i needed it. my navigation got much better with the touch screen than the 2016 highlander. led headlights are a major improvement for sure.

i miss the auto headlights, auto wipers, very soft leather seats i could sit in a 1200 trip in without stopping. The 4runner seat is electric which is nice but hard as a rock and just the wrong shape that kills my back after 20 minutes. got a back pad from Amazon for it i used for an office chair and its much better now. Id like to put a front trail camera on it.

I came form an awd highlander and this is fine with rear wheel drive for most cases (with good tires) . driving the hell out of it. really really like the 4runner. it does surprising things (to me) on the trails. but, its why i did the trade in and got it. it got scratched up pretty bad on a bates road trail(s) this weekend so I am trying to out some 3m clear film on it. it will help that but... i got it to do trails, i knew i got it for that, so as long as is not serious body damage im fine with it i suppose. its a truck so....

these seemingly are never in stock so getting is kinda 'the deal' ...

I hunted for a good TRD Off-road premium and got one swept out from under our feet after brokering a deal going back and forth with the dealer and my uncle (he hates this stuff but wanted a 4runner). Later that night I found a similar 2020 TRD Off-road premium an hr away at a Audi dealer. No bullshit in house warranty with 40,000ish miles on it for 40k. My uncle is happy.

You say: "The 4Runner will never be a jeep." this statement is 100% correct. For off road - Rubicon, and only Rubicon. BTW, as general answer - you had a good deal for your T4Runner. Congratulations!

Trim = 2021 TRD PRO Lunar Rock. Got super lucky and got a late allocation. Should be here towards the end of this month.

Options = Trail Rails, Connectivity Kit, Cargo Cover, Protection Package. All stuff I don't really want. I'll sell the trail rails, put RSG sliders on, tint the windows, black out rear emblems, and buy a bike rack. I'd like to level the front end. IDK yet.

Sale Price Before Taxes = Paid MSRP but Military doesn't pay taxes on vehicles in TN with conditions.

    2021 lunar rock 4runner 600.00 above msrp.

McCook Nebraska... if you want to avoid "huge" markups, get on a list at a small Toyota dealer away from city's. Allocation works regionally, then locally. You have less cost, higher chance to get your truck.

I'm currently number 1 in line for a Electric Lime Tacoma again 600.00 over msrp

Can you tell me please who you were working with there? Its the closest dealership to me, and I am trying to reserve a truck but after giving my CC info like 5 days ago for the deposit, I havent heard anything. No confirmation, didnt take the deposit, etc. I'm sure its just the holidays but I've already listed my current truck lol.
