Hello, I was wondering if any of you have experienced a Clicking noise in the front drivers side of the truck. Mostly happens when i back into my driveway or sometimes when slowly turning in neighborhoods. The truck is pretty much brand new, havent even hit 5k miles yet.

    Thanks for any information.

I have a bad cab mount bushing on the drivers side. It makes a pop or clicks when I go over speed bumps.

I inspected every bushings on the front end and I went absolutely mad as the car is still new but making a terrible 30 year old car noise.
Turned out to be the cab mount near the radiator support.

It was an easy replacement. I didn't remove the grill or bumper. I only removed the lower portion of the fender liner and managed to get a direct look at the nut and bolt from the bottom.

A good video showing what you're looking for: https://youtu.be/ch8f-uEy2Ok?t=44

A nice thread about it here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...all-now-with-pictures-and-a-video-too.432885/

The bushings for the front are Energy Suspension 9.4101G

Clicking when turning is a CV axle noise which at 5k is crazy. Try a slow locked steering wheel left, and then right and see if the sound is typical on both sides. If it's isolated to one side, take it in and have them look at the axle in the front. Or...reach up and grab the axle shaft and try to shake it out of the truck. You'll know if it's junk.

    Hello everyone,

I took my truck back to the dealer today to ask about this noise. Apparently its an issue with the way the body sits on the frame that causes a rubbing. The guy working there told me he expects it to be a recall soon as they're seeing more and more of these all the time. Hopefully this helps anyone else who hears the same noise.

Yes, the cab mount bushings mentioned by posters above.
Do what you want, but if you're going to let the dealer off the hook until a recall is issued...you're going to be waiting a long time.
Fix it yourself with upgraded material or make them fix the defective bushing...with another defective bushing that will likely fail too.

I’m not letting them off the hook, they’re fixing it as we speak. I got a loaner car for 1 day. I was saying there WILL be a recall for the issue.
