I’ve searched around and can’t find the answer…….

TRD Pro oem LED headlight vs oem LED headlight added in a package.

Other than the “TRD” on the passenger side and the “PRO” on the driver’s side of the TRD Pros, is there any difference between the headlights? More black? More chrome? Different side marker? Anything?

I haven’t been able to find a side by side and I’ve never seen them both in person at the same time.

I’m about to order a set and hate the idea of having “TRD pro” on my lights if my truck isn’t a pro, so I’ll get the other ones if they’re the same otherwise.

    thanks in advance

no output or functional difference. Same headlight just minor cosmetic differences.

Not sure but I believe the Pro LED Headlights have sequential turn signals where the regular non Pro LED Headlights do not

I believe the Pro have no chrome, all black. I’m going the the same decision point. I want all black, but not wild about it saying Pro when I don’t have a Pro.

It’s hard to find good pictures, but I think the non-Pro has that chrome piece towards the front. I may eventually go with the Morimoto but would prefer to stay OEM. Headlights are not where my piggy bank money is going for a while though. 68E3A62C-C0B7-489C-B74D-F59FB0316102.jpgB967C452-DFC3-49E4-BC3B-53C3355A9747.jpg

    Following this.

I wanted the Alpharex’s until I joined here and learned how bad they are. Now I’m also thinking of upgrading to the OEM TRD LEDs. I also like to keep the major stuff OEM, especially when it comes to stuff with electric components.

My only reservation with staying OEM is I would absolutely love an amber DRL that encompasses the whole headlight. I think those look amazing.

OP assuming you know these are not simply a swap, you need a conversion harness even for your TRD.

I do, and I’ve already ordered the harness from @daveeasa, thanks for the heads up though.

I’ve been going through this same series of wants/issues/ and realizations. Decided ultimately on the non-Pro OEM LEDs

great photo find!! This is the best side by side I’ve seen so far. Looks to me that there’s about a 1 inch chrome strip around the DRL.

I do not like chrome, but I’m not sure if my OCD will eat away at me more if my lights say TRD PRO vs having a small chrome strip ‍o_O. First world problems I guess haha ‍:D

Thanks for all the reply’s and notes so far. This forum is great!

I ordered the non-pro version and if I hate them (meaning the chrome) when I open them up, I may go with the “Pro” version and come up with a solution to cover up the “TRD PRO” (I’m thinking vinyl, maybe? )
