My heater motor sometimes does nothing.. at all speeds..found burn marks on plug to resistor at blower. Wiggling wire sometimes solves it for a day or two. Would resistor cause this connection problem r should I focus on cleaning and securing connection?

    I guess it’s worth mentioning.
The High Speed doesn’t use the resistor.
If you get nothing on High, check the blower plug and the switch on the dash itself.
They too, have had some problems.

The resistor and plug have been updated to a square design along with different wire gauge. New Part numbers are listed in the pictures. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-2018-...RESISTOR-WITH-CONNECTOR-PIGTAIL-/323788974234

Connector to blower motor may have issue too.

ALLMOST FOR Compatible with Toyota Tacoma 2005-2016 Blower Motor Connector 90980-10916 6" 12ga Harness NEW https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YXLJP18. I would inspect any connection to and from the blower motor and replace what has signs of overheating
