I’ve been contemplating buying the SSO slimline bumper @SouthernStyleOffRoad with the Heise lightbar or the @RelentlessFab stingray bumper with the BD lightbar. Does anyone know how the Heise lightbar is? I’m sure it’s not the quality of the BD but is it still decent or should I just spend the extra money now and get the BD set up?

I have the SSO bumper on my truck with the Heise lightbar. If I did it again I would have used a higher output light. It does the job well, but there is ample room for improvement. Looking at the behind the grill setup for the next round of light upgrades. BD are pretty good lights.

The BD lights are just very very nice lights and we like the somewhat unique styling they offer over the majority of the aftermarket lights. BD seems also to stand behind their products very well, plus their ability for customers to change lenses to tailor the bar output pattern to ones needs if they change down the road is nice also vs selling and buying an entirely new light.

I also bought with the Heise LB to keep my cost down low. It was good for the price but ultimately I upgraded to Rigid. If you can afford it, go with the BD.

Keep in mind, if you get the cutout for the Heise, the mounting bracket width will be different for other Lb’s. At least that was the case for my SR-20 Pro. I had to drill to mount the brackets since the width was short by about 3/4”.

after reading pages and pages of reviews haha looks like I’ll be going with @SouthernStyleOffRoad in the very near future with the 20” @Baja Designs S8. The 30” is tempting however and is still an option I’m contemplating. With that, BD squadron fogs and when I add some ditch I think the 20” will suffice.

Baja Designs truly is amazing. I have their fog lights so I can only imagine the light ouput from one of their 20" or 30" light bars. I've only heard great stuff. I have the Heise light bar and it is more than enough light output for me. I used it on some dirt roads this weekend without street lights and was really impressed with how far it the light shined. I had a 32" Amazon brand 240W combo spot flood LED bar before this and the Heise seems such as bright if not brighter. That being said, I've never bucked up for one of the more expensive brands like Baja but the Heise seems like a good everyday light bar especially for the rare to occasional use. If you plan to use it very often and could make use of a lot more light, the Baja is a great option.

I love my @SouthernStyleOffRoad bumper, winch, and light bar. Amazing product.

See here for a detailed write-up that I did and more photos.
