I'm already using that fuse spot for my always on outlet under the dash that goes up to my phone mount. I'll probably just cut and solder into the center console USB wires for the other USB, especially since it does have a backlight that I don't want on all the time.

Keyword "just", the exception is no hacking wires or assembling parts.

I did not confirm how thick a spacer would be needed. It looked like twice the thickness of the panel where I installed it would be right.
To mark the hole to be cut, I cut a piece from a business card the same size as the outlet. Lined it up where I wanted the hole and traced around it with a silver sharpie pen. I used a Dremel with a mini cutoff wheel to cut the hole and a small file for the finish fit. I put a small bead of hot glue on each side where the clips hold the outlet in place. I built up the bead so the clips would hold it in tight.

When I looked for it the square was was a southeast only part. There is an eBay seller that has it. Shows round but they send a square one. On the west coast I hear it’s round. I’ll post up the seller if I can find it again.

I have had about 40* customers pretty happy with the fit no bezel, including mine that doesn’t wiggle, but I’ve had including those on this thread about 4 people looking for a tighter fit. Rather than try to solve the variations of the center console 2nd gen, multiple 3rd gen (I have found out by ordering a couple parts that not all have a sound deadening material glued to the inside but some do; the part is also 1 injection molding trimmed a few different ways to make the manual, auto, and other variations… there are 4 part #’s actually listed on the inside of the front lower center console I’ve suggested installing the outlet in.)

Guild could look at 3D printing a custom bezel, especially if we figure out a good way to tap/add usb charging spots, but I think you’re looking at a $30-50 part based on the quality I print at using our current partner’s high resolution $300k printers.

So the ideas on the table are replacing the included paper to mark the hole with a clean cut sheet of plastic. Use this to mark the hole and then place behind the lower dash panel so the thickness is increased. It might even need to be 2 thin pieces if the variations justify.

Someone shoot me their thoughts, very open to developing version 2.0 of this kit with customer’s & Kyle’s input.

I haven't installed mine yet and am planning to use the Toyota bezel. If there is a way to add a custom bezel and an easy plug in option for the 12v that would be awesome for future customers. I would have happily paid the ~$50 premium for that convenience. I'm probably not typical though being an engineer and overthinking just about everything.

Also there's an AC plug only bezel that Toyota sells - part# 85530-35100-B0.

Mine is a bit loose, too. My vote is for a dual purpose template/backing plate thing. But one of the tabs broke off my outlet so that doesn't help. I might just use some small screws.

Was it the left side tab? Also, it needs both tabs to be secure and not loose. Happy to help think through a solution for your situation or sell you another outlet at cost.

Yeah, in the picture I posted you can see the right side still attached. Honestly, not a big deal.

Just Ordered and excited to get this in! I do a lot of work on my laptop while sitting in the truck and I'm excited to get that plug going. I'll also be able to keep a fridge running in the back!

Yeah both of my tabs broke off. They are pretty stiff so if the hole is cut small, they break easily (or maybe I just hulked it) I just used epoxy to secure it in place. Since there is a pigtail, I don't think I'll ever need to remove it.
