@Formidable Thanks for that, makes perfect sense. Is not that the droplets are a problem alone, is a function of the speed of impact. The SC is traveling MUCH slower, where it is the speed of the airplane prop that does the damage.

Tip of airplane prop. exceeds the speed of sound (if I can trust my memory; or maybe it is just close)

Hey @jstemp, thanks for sharing this info. I will be needing this during my install soon so I'm gathering the parts. Question regarding the 90deg hose. You mentioned it's a 3/4" ID hose. The one linked to Amazon says is 1" ID and the Autozone link doesn't really say any details regarding dimensions.

Anyways, I just want to confirm these hoses work with the dimensions posted or if I should try to find a 3/4" ID specific one?

The Dayco 80411 from Autozone is 3/4"ID, that's the same one I used. The Gates hose on Amazon is also 3/4"ID. Where it lists 1" in the description is meeting certain specs for 1" and smaller or 1" and larger hose. I got the Gates part number from the manufacturer website. If I remember correct O'Reilly Auto Parts carries the Gates 28474 also.

How did I miss in this thread the most backwoods tuning experience known to man. Ive tuned BMWs, Ive tuned cars with Fast XFI, Ive tuned cars with Holley systems . Ive tuned old school GM ECUs on Grand Nationals, Im not a newb.
    1 day to install
2 days of back and forth emails and stuck in the middle of this and still need 2 more emails back from them before i can get the tune in the truck.
The tuning will probably take a week.
Im staring at a done truck now 2 days.
I could have installed 3 superchargers in the time these people get back to you.
    No phone calls.
Lots of words are coming to mind but none should be verbalized

I know when I did mine I didn't touch the truck until I got the tune. I also read the instructions front to back at least twice before I even placed the order. Seems like when you do things out of order you screw yourself...

    1. read directions before you buy it
    2. get the tune before you start
    3. do the install

thats the right order? LOL thats funny

I dont need to feel comfortable with the install. I was before I bought it. Not my first modded vehicle. Get the tune first? Well its the only tune that takes a week to get that ive seen. Usually the tune is in the box. That should have been on the box or on the first page. It should have said, " dont start this until you have a tune, you will be super pissed when your truck is done for 2 days still waiting for emails because we dont talk on the phone".

It's not my first modded vehicle either. But it's all in the prep work. The 3rd gen tacoma is the reason the tune is an issue. Do you know how many possible ECU IDs there are?

Also has to do with registering a copy of VF Tuner (Download software for the tune) to you. That is not done by magnuson it is a 3rd party and outside of their control. I already had VF Tuner and emailed them for just the tune only early evening and they responded with the tune file the next morning.

Pretty sure there's 24 possible ECU ID's across 2016-22, and that's just for US/CAN ECU versions, not including SA/MX.

Definitely in the prep work. You don't install without a way to drive the truck upon completion unless you're okay with that.

Magnuson's method is probably the best case scenario without forcing everyone to be on the most up to date ECU ID at the time, which is not something everyone can do, whether it's due to dealerships being unwilling/uncooperative, or people not comfortable doing it themselves.

At the end of the day, they need to know what ECU version you are. :notsure:

Manual revision H was in the box.
Download on the site was compatible for manual revision J
    Thats why I was stuck.
    Waiting now for an email.
Phone support could have fixed that.
By the way customer support does talk to you and knew about the issue.

With the mods before the Maggie on the truck the MPG dropped to 13. I went with the Maggie because i was hoping for some low end torque to get the truck in 5th and locked converter more on the highway and get the MPG back up. I was also hoping there was enough torque to haul my classic cars on a full car trailer in 5th gear. I have been riding around today and taking it easy and I can see my expectation might be realized. Ill know more in the next few days.

    Gents,

I put together a group buy for the Port Fuel Rail I designed. Plenty of information on the post so we don't bog this post down. Let's keep all discussions over there.

That being said, this will help with fueling issues on even the most mild supercharger setup. Even the low boost turbo setups have port fueling issues. I designed it to fit the factory and Magnuson intake manifolds. The intent for this rail is to reduce the port lean fueling issue, which I suspect will allow everyone to tune a little more performance out of the factory fuel system without having to upgrade the pump or injectors. More importantly it should prove to allow a safer tune for any boosted application.

Can anyone confirm if this is the boost gauge port mentioned in the manual? Installing a VLS boost gauge. Is it the brass fitting that my red pen is point to on the rear passenger side?
