Moving from a 4Runner. I have a line on an on the ground 2023 Electric Lime Off Road Premium Automatic. Any opinions on long term resale potential. Am I overthinking this or is this a no brainer given current market conditions and availability?

Tacoma trucks typically have a higher resale value.
Everyone can drive an Automatic, so that should help when you go to resell.

That being said, if you are all ready worried about resell value, I’d consider keeping the 4Runner.

I'd wait to see if dealers can't move them. That probably won't happen. 2024s will probably only go up in price slightly, and lime will still be available.

You could always order a Ram in national saftey yellow if you want a brightly colored truck.

How much is the dealer marking up the truck? If it's MSRP then a good buy given current conditions.

2023 is expected to be the final year for a naturally-aspirated V6 in a midsize Toyota truck. 4th gen is expected to have a sole 4-cyl turbo for 2024 and will be produced for another 8-10 years before combustion engines go extinct.

I feel like that colour will really narrow down your buyer market. A lot of people won’t want that IMO so I’m not convinced it will bring a tone of interest in 1-3 years. Could also be argued that Hybrid could make a come back as electric isn’t really that green and a hybrid helps the earth and the oil industry until something better come along

Race Toyota out in Lindsay is doing MSRP on all cars, incld new Tundras, works great if you got the patience, Tacoma Hybrid got push back to 2025MY, but strangely 4runner Hybrid is a 2024MY.

I say get it if you like the color! My dealer sent me an EL OR Manual allocation they had coming about a month ago and I was on the fence about that color. It looks terrible on the spec sheet. Then I got to see an EL TRD Pro a couple weeks ago at the dealer and I liked the color a lot in person. I've also read(anecdotally) that colors like these tend to have higher resale value, would be nice to see the data on that.

I ended up taking the allocation and it gets built tomorrow.

I have cement grey and re sale is supposed to be very good I’m just not sure it would be the same for this green. It is cool but just feel not as many will be after it especially if inventory and more choices on new become available??

I’d only wrap it if I was going to keep the truck long term and after I got tired of the green.
