Replacing Lower Ball Joints and Carrier Bearing Parts check

I purchased an 04 Pre-Runner with 226K miles, CO truck with minimal rust. On pre-purchase inspection it was noted that LBJs appeared to be original to the truck and seller could not confirm they had been replaced. Are these the right Toyota part numbers for replacing?

$206 43330-39556 Toyota Ball Joint - 43330-39556

43330-39556 for Left Front

$136 43340-39436 Toyota Ball Joint - 43340-39436

43340-39436 for Right Front

I am also planning to do the Carrier Bearing because the truck has some vibration at over 60MPH.

I am looking at the Spicer on Amazon:

and then ordering the flange nut from Toyota:

9017918009

I will need to track down tools to do this work myself but are these the principal parts that I will need? Thanks for the wealth of information on Tacoma World. This is a great site for figuring out the how to on DIY maintenance.

 

I ordered those LBJs when i replaced mine a few weeks ago.

If you have the factory lower ball joint dust protectors (on a 2004 I think you do), then order the correct bolt for use with them.
90119-10933 They are torqued to 37 ft lbs ONLY. That bolt specifically. 37 ft lbs ONLY.

If you do not have the dust protector on the LBJ, then I would order the ARP bolts and torque em to 59 ft lbs.

4334660011 quantity 2

and

8 of the bolts:

90119-10933

I have been studying these threads on the LBJs and the Carrier Bearing and will follow the torque specs, including how to seat that Carrier bearing.

I was able to change out the upstream 02 sensor yesterday with the help of Tacoma World and believe I can now tackle the next items!

 

All you should need is a basic socket set and a torque wrench

 

If you're dust boots are in decent shape, you can re-use them - just not the bolts
