I don't disagree. The design of that button definitely wasn't intuitive...I just understand how they came to the button layout, so my brain makes it work. The design of the button could definitely be better...a side-by-side button design for songs/tracks with a down arrow on the left button, and up arrow on the right button would have solved this. Designing an intuitive button, while keeping symmetry between the right and left side of the steering wheel would have been a challenge, but that's why designers get paid the big bucks.

    Stock. For now.
Not sure how a redesign would have been a challenge. They could keep the 4-way button that is there. Just volume up/down, track next/previous. I’m sure a designer making big bucks could have done it right. Maybe they need to listen to more music. ‍♂️

    Ooooh! Ooooh! I know!!

The same imbecile that decided it was a good idea to have the remotely-started engine shut off when you open the door . . .
Well... he laid out this button arrangement too.

    Yep. Installing kit this weekend.
These 2 threads are sort of running along independently.

May have had a long pre-order backlog and initial run went quick.

As outlined in the later comments on this thread, there’s an issue with button illumination. Supposedly meso is working on some kind of fix. If that’s the case and there’s a warrantable issue, I’d expect a “gen 2” batch in a couple months. This is based solely on my experience with the dual color map light issue a year or two ago.
