    Yep, a $15 piece of plastic to keep your gas cap from rubbing against your paint is a ridiculous expenditure that only fools make.
    I have spent over $6k in accessories and mods for my truck and a gas cap holder was a small drop in the bucket.

    Hood struts.
    OP says he lives in Colorado. I picked my truck up in late December from Colorado and the snow would enter the cab whenever I opened the doors. I added a plastic/rubber peel and strip drip rail from an RV place. Works with keeping the snow out plus a bit of the rain.

    @tstad9i

    AZ is a dry heat but sunny just the same.

    It can get hot here in the TriState area...mostly humid!

    I just had the front windows tinted to match the rears and added window guards. Night driving is something I noticed was very different.

    what about seat covers? I just picked up my 2023 access cab TRD off road in Blue Crush. I thought about seat covers, but have heard you can have trouble installing the custom fitted ones because you have to tuck them between the seat and plastic, and all the wires for the electric seat controls are in there.

    I went with the rough country neoprene and so far I love them. Super easy to clean up and my kids can’t ruin my seats. No issues tucking fabric behind the plastic and my power driver seat works fine. Keep an eye on Amazon and you can grab a set of front and rear covers for $120. Fantastic deal.

    Tacomas made after 2018 already have this IIRC.

    They should, but not ours (or based on numerous posts, many others even newer). Installed an OEM Toyota tailgate lock about two weeks after buying it. Found it on Amazon for less than any of the Toyota parts dealers known for good pricing but it's less now from some if you shop around.

    Huh, must have still been be an option. I thought they all had it after 2018. Strange it wouldn’t be standard.
