    Hey all,

Anyone here trek through the North Maine Woods at all? I'm looking to start making outings somewhat soon, but am seeking some experienced advice as far as how/where to go about it.

I'm already spun up on the preparedness aspect, I'm not new to remote camping. Extra fuel, spare tire or two, backup upon backup of food/water, GPS Locator beacon, recovery gear, watch for logging trucks, etc etc. I just can't seem to confidently wrap my head around how to actually start the journey and find nice scenic spots to truck camp for a few nights with a Napier bed tent.

I've done some reading and watched a few yootoob videos, but nothing that really explains further than "it's beautiful, just go out and do it" montages over music.

Any advice and/or waypoints would be appreciated!

I am not a fan of the search function on Tacoma World so I typically just run a Google search where I include the search terms I want and add in Tacoma World to the search. I find that method much more effective. Try searching that way and you will likely find a number of threads, some of which will be old but will still contain useful information.

I actually just now ran a TW search and found a few good threads. Not sure why I didn't think to try that before.

    Thanks!
