I’ll be interested to see how this company turns out. I’m in the market to for a set of 4600s and this seems like a good option.

So far I'm not seeing any issues, except with Fedex. :-\ Still says out for delivery, earlier it said between 10AM and 2:10PM, it's 5:15 now. It will go into "delayed," they always do this.

Extreme Terrain sells ARB Old Man Emu kits for a reasonable price. Sometimes you can find "open box" items. A little scratch on a shock does not bother me. lol

I went out on a limb and just ordered the rear struts shocks to test them out. Ordered last Friday and they were delivered yesterday. Package was a little dented but the struts shocks were in great condition. Got them installed and will likely order the front coilovers here soon.

Is the “lower ball joint” the same as the LCA (lower control arm)?

    Thanks.

The lower ball joint connects the lower control arm to the steering knuckle.

The Lower Ball Joint (blue) and Lower Control Arm (yellow) are different components.

Do you have the boot protectors on your LBJ?

That picture doesn't show the boot protectors. That is your CV axle boot and steering rod end boot. The LBJ boot covers the LBJ. You can google a picture of the LBJ to locate it.

I suspect you have the boot protectors since in 2001 is when they started to install them. If you have the boot protector, then order these below.

    LBJ 43340-39436 & 43330-39556
    LBJ bolts 8QTY X 90019-10933 torqued to 37fl lb

Damn this gotta be the most patient thread I’ve seen. People actually politely answering questions instead of “do research” “use google”
Time to trade third gen for first it sounds like

Does it have a boot? And if not can I still buy a LBJ with boot and install it or would that be incompatible?

That picture shows no boot protector. 2001-2004 IIRC came with boot protector from Toyota. The boot is held in place by 2 opposing LBJ bolts. The bolt will be different from those that didn't come with the boot.
