I got a pair of actuators off Amazon and made my own. Check TW for the diy option

If you are handy, then do the DIY version...

    20200303_105137.jpg

Amazon actuator, some aluminum plate and some wiring. ( also a good idea to run a bundle of wires when running the wire so you have some run for expansion projects.)

Or get the Toyota or Pop and Lock, both will work on your 2023. It is the same as 2016 to 2022 model years.

The part is $142 from Toyota and includes a wire harness that is the perfect length with a built-in gromet that replaces the gromet you knock out and a heat shield in the exact place you run the cable past the passenger side exhaust and cat. I can't imagine saving a couple of bucks is worth it personally.

There's a 3rd gen DIY thread here if you're so inclined, though: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/10-diy-power-lock-tailgate.424052/

Leveled with Bilstein 5100 shocks, Kumho AT52 265/75 tires, Redline hood struts, R4T tailgate lock, Matt Gecko LED strips in bed and under hood, WeatherTech hood guard, OEM bed mat, Husky floor mats, Carhart seat covers, Grille replacement with Toyota letters, Sony AX6000 replacement head unit, OTT lite/mild tune, and an occasional splash of fuel additive.
I bought one from Runnin 4 Tacos. Kit comes with everything needed to connect and run up passenger side and connect with bypass in-line connector, front passenger side. Routed up under front seat rubber grommet and along door track. So far good after year.

Get the OEM kit, it'll fit perfectly. It's plug and play and and comes with everything you need. This is a super functional add on that you will love, especially if you have a tonneau or shell.

I ordered mine from Sparks parts. I remember they called the different parts something like long and extra long for the long bed double cabs.
I recommend the Toyota one because as said its complete and has all the right grommets. one thing to note is the instructions say to zip tie it to the cable that already runs down the passenger side of the frame. My SR5 did not have that. Only the TRD's have that because its for the power outlet SR & SR5 dont have. still it works you just need to find your own ways to tie it up.

When you pull up the part from Toyota's website, it says it doesn't work on the 2023 TRD Off Road. I haven't gotten confirmation officially that it does:

I’m sure it does. They’re slow to update year/trim but it works on my 2022 offroad and nothing changed for 2023.

They don't always update the listings as the new models come out. Buy the above mentioned part number off of Amazon if for some reason it doesn't work send it back.
The only thing that might be different would be the connector that you plug in behind the passenger side kick plate. I can't imagine they would change those parts just for the 2023 offroad and not the rest of the 2023's.

Here are the installation instructions see if the connector looks the same in your truck. This is from 2019, maybe someone can jump in with an updated install guide.
