    Hi,

I currently have a 2011 Lexus GX (which I love). It has the matte gray SEMA wheels with Falken Wildpeaks.

My dad who has a 2022 Tacoma off-road has offered it to me for whatever I can sell my GX for. I really prefer my GX but am trying to make the smart decision for a straight across trade for a vehicle that is a decade newer with a 10 year warranty.

Anyway, I love the wheels/tires and would like to put them on the Tacoma which I thought was an afterthought as I was under the assumption all the Toyota trucks or interchangeable (GX, 4Runner, Tacoma, FJ). As I was just looking for pictures of other Tacomas to see how my wheels may look, I came across posts saying the wheels didn't fit in the rear without boring the wheel a few mm (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/problems-with-2021-4runner-trd-pro-wheels-install.715447/page-7). I also came across posts saying they fit fine.

These wheels were purchased in early 2022, part number: PTR20-35110-GR

Is there a definitive these do or don't fit? I am going to try popping my spare on my dad's Tacoma to see for myself but that is about a week out.

I will be pretty bummed if I can't use them on the Tacoma. Any help/info is much appreciated.

They will bolt right on. Have them in bronze on my truck and black before that. All bolt directly on.

2021 4Runner TRD Pro wheels have a slightly different hub. Yours are the 2020 and earlier which fit without issue

Are the 2021 and later a different part number?

Yes. They look similar on first glance. PTR56-89210-F2. They wont fit without modifying the wheel or hub.

SEMA’s are fine. Newer (unsure of year) 4Runner take offs need some work to fit in the rear

Awesome, if they will fit that is a relief. It has already been tough to get ready to part with my GX. Having to let the wheels/tires go too and start all the way over would have been a tough pill to swallow.

Well, for anyone else that finds this thread. The wheels did not fit on the 2022 Tacoma Of-Road.

Was it the rear wheels that didn’t fit and are you sure they were the SEMA’s?

Yeah, something is off. I’ve had two sets of SEMA’s fit both my 2017 and 2023 with zero issues.

Yeah, I thought they would fit for sure. We forced one on and could barely get it off. After snugging a couple lug nuts it still didn't seat all the way.

The problem is the diameter of the axle hub on the rear is not compatible with those wheels. The rear disc brake hub of the 4 Runner is slightly smaller.

Either the axle hub needs to be turned down or the inner hub of the wheel needs machined.

Some have forced it on & have had a major wheel imbalance because the wheel not sitting flush.

So is everyone just slamming them on without them sitting flush or grinding something down? Pretty crazy.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't fit. The newer trd pro 4runner wheels are the ones with the hub issues. Factory style wheels is your best option for aftermarket versions of those that fit Tacoma's without modification. The style that OP chose has worked without modifications on many Tacoma's. Chloe Kuo ran them for years. Several threads showing them too...

jot really sure, but the fitment issue is why you had issues like you did.
