    Hi everyone! I have a 2004 Tacoma 3.4l
On a cold start in the mornings there’s a whining noise for awhile
Until it warms up and it kinda stops.
But then it whines again when I’m turning and a little bit more when I accelerate while turning too.
I checked my power steering fluid and it’s full.
    What can it be?
    Please help a lady out

Sounds like your power steering pump may be getting tired. Should work fine enough and not cause any damage in the meantime.

A lot of times you can flush the system. take the pump off clean the screens. then reassemble. Can be a messy process but will save you $$. If you don’t want to do that I would suggest fishing the system before replacing with oem.

This. If the belt is loose it will slip and squeal when cold and while turning. Turningthe steering wheel makes the pump work harder so if the belt is loose it will slip

When pumps begin to fail they usually groan and growl, not whine

Lots of dust and custom dents, Check Build
Sounds like cavitation in the power steering pump.

Take the reservoir off and clean the screen.

Definitely clean the screen. That will likely fix your problem. This video shows how to do it https://youtu.be/5k61KXRK8bM?si=1sXn9t9XJsVFM6lH

If you do end up needing a new pump, and if the old pump is OEM, rebuild it. Aftermarket pumps are real hit and miss. Might only last a couple years. You can rebuild the original pretty easy. This thread, https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/power-steering-pump-rebuild-how-to-with-photos.377002/ will show you how to do it.

Here are links for rebuild kits.
