    Hello!

I'm trying to chase down a vibration on my 2009 Single Cab and I'm hoping I can get some input.

    Truck Details
    • 2009 Tacoma 4x4 | just short of 75,000 Miles
    • Bilstein 5100 front & rear. Circlip location #4.
    • 3rd gen TRD coils and leafs with generic AAL.
    • Freedom offroad UCAs
    • Wildpeak A/T3W E-rated, 235/85r16 on stock steelies
The vibration is coming from the front, possibly passenger side, at 59-66 mph with throttle in 2wd. If it release the throttle, it goes away. I turned on 4wd high, but the vibration still happens. I don't feel it in the steering wheel nor the driver's seat, however, my wife was in the truck last night and claimed to feel it in the passenger seat.

    What I've done so far:
    • Flipped drive shaft. There was a rear vibration that this remedied.
    • Alignment. Shop said it wasn't too far out of wack.
    • Wheel Balance: This has been done twice now.
    • Tire Rotation - did this last week with my 5k maintenance.
Kinda going crazy trying to figure out the source. CV angle? CV going bad? Wheel bearing out of nowhere? Something I'm completely ignoring? Thanks in advance!

Nice truck. I have the same vibration. Been there a while. I feel for ya, it's annoying.
Only have 1" blocks in the front, so don't think it's the CVs. Heard it might be the final drive in the transmission but couldn't tell you why.
Personally think it's just a minor resonance freq. Not much to be done about it but turn the music up and drive faster

Good to know I'm not the only one. Thanks for the links. I've seen a couple of those threads before, but it doesn't exactly sound like what my truck is doing. In any event, I drove it about 50 miles yesterday and maybe I'm going crazy but it felt/sounded like the vibration was dissipating after awhile. Who knows. Cars are weird.
