Welcome to the Forum. Great Member Number, BTW (had to post & comment on that)
Not often a female asks a question without 100 responses in five minutes.
Maybe that's 'cause the question's asked every day.
I haven't moved forward with a lift yet, but intend to go with Old Man Emu.
Many here run it, mid-ranged price, seems to be one of the best for the $.
Budget and intended use / lift purpose will be determining factors
There are multiple polls about "which lift" and many threads about the same.
Search Function is at top right of screen (below login).
Also the Suspension Forum has a lot of good reading
This'll give ya bump to the top for more answers

EDIT: Also look at "Similar Threads" at bottom of this page

Congrats on your new Tacoma and good luck with the lift

    Hi Lilo,
What do you plan on doing with the truck?
If you'll just be doing some light trials or back roads the cheaper option many run is Bilstien 5100s and an AAL in the rear is a very basic set up many people run.
If you want a little more for your money, or are hauling weight in the bed consider the Old Man Emu kit with a full leaf pack called Dakars through them. That'll be plenty for what most people do here and is a very reputable company.

There are many other options but those start to get pricey and are geared more for even higher performance. Let us know your intended use and possibly a budget you're looking to spend and we can be of much more assistance to you.

$1200 unless you do it right and get LR UCAs as well then it'll be $1600

thanks for responding, I really do appreciate it. I decided to start a new thread because it seemed like the other threads re: lifts got a little convoluted and bogged down with people's arguments so I wanted to start fresh and see if I could get some clear answers. Thanks for the guidance!

Yea, honestly I won't be beasting with my truck. I'll just be taking it into some campsites, desert spots, and up ski resorts in the summer that my car couldn't have gotten to... maybe some off roading that I'll think is epic while onlookers will probably laugh. I'm good with that though. Was thinking Bilstein 5100s. Thanks for your response!

Plasti-dipped wheels, Bilstein 5100's @ 1.75, 1 in. block in rear, CB in center console, 12V outlet in console, weathertechs, N-FAB wheel-to-wheel 3in. tube, Action packer cheap toolbox, Spidertraxx 1.25" spacers, Kensun 5000K in fogs, K&N drop-in filter, foglight anytime mod, Anytime Panty-dropper mod.
I'm running Bilstein 5100s set at 1.75 (height adjustable) on my 12 with an inch block in the back, threw some spidertraxx (1.25) spacers on too. Very inexpensive, and handling and ride comfort from what I've noticed has changed none. Gives it a little more beef.

    OME 885 Struts and Dakar Leafs = 2.5" +/-
Add top Plate to Struts and additional leaf (OME AAL , d29xl) to Dakars = 3" +/-
Will need New Upper Control Arms for 3" and Probably 2.5" to achieve correct alignment,
and not rub UCA's with Stock wheels or wheels with the same backspacing.
