There's been quite a few LED's placed on the market as of late, but I prefer Vision X, as they've had quite a bit of experience (NASA, BAJA 1000, Mining industry, etc) in this application. They seem to have gone the way of the rest of the world in manufacturing outsourced, which is unfortunate because they did have some good stuff (Patriot) all designed (I even knew their Chief Engineer) and made here in the US (relevant on a Toyota forum?).

I hear Rigid is good too, but I shied away from them for their "immature teenager attracting" looking website design and actual performance. They also wouldn't speak my "language" when it came down to circuitry, optics/photometrics, and emitters when I asked them.

Wurton's LED's don't look too bad, and they've actually used some good (almost current, which I say because Cree now has an XP-G2 and XM-L2) CREE LED's. Their 5w bars are using an XP-G (although they've put "XM-G" on their page  Trustworthy? :notsure:) and their 10W bars use the XM-L.

Baja Designs has some too, although I don't know jack about them.

Heretic Studios has some good looking bars now, too. I'm starting to like them because I think the machine shop I work for manufactured a bunch of their pods housings, and they're also based out of Utah. ;)

If you'd like to support some of the little guys, head on over to candlepowerforums and look at RyDel Fab's 6 XM-L bars. I'd say wait for one that I'm currently in the design process on, but that's probably too far away for you.

If you really want to go cheap, I seem to remember seeing KMDgarage's thread for some cheap Chinese knock-offs that are apparently using "Cree" LED's. They do sort of look like an XP-E-HEW (High Efficiency White) to me, so they could be legitimate.

Here are some other options, too.

Sorry to be so long-winded about the LED's, but that's kind of my thing, hence the name. :D

Did you look at the bed/roll bar by Go Rhino. Seen it on a couple of tacos and it looks good. Mounts on the track rail in the bed. Ebay sells for $210.00.
