I brought the fittings with me and checked it. Seems tight enough, and with the hose clamp on it should be fine :notsure:

I've read 1/4" and 3/8" in separate write-up threads here. 3/8" was too big for my fitting and looked a bit ridiculous, and they didn't have 1/4"

Sweet, probably be helpful if I could get one more person, the bumper's a little heavy for one person to hold up.

    I'll supply beer/pizza!

I would, but I've got plans that weekend.

    What haven’t I changed?
Have you looked through the install instructions? My ARB had a mounting bracket that the bumper sat on before you bolted the bumper into it, so it was only a two man job to lift it onto the bracket.

Honestly, I think it depends on which parts you're going to be using.

For the union (the piece that goes into the rear diff), the write-ups I've found have two different part numbers for the union:

90404-51026 - This part is black and the union that sticks out is narrow. My 5/16" line fits over it with a little resistance, but 1/4" would probably be better.
    Size comparison here: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/15686-diff-breather-mod-dummies-pics.html

90404-51319 - This part is silver and the union that sticks out is a little wider. It takes a lot of effort to get the 5/16" line onto this part, so 5/16" would be fine, maybe 3/8".
    Size comparison here: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/technical-chat/111954-my-differential-breather-mod-photos.html

I also got a new breather plug (part #90930-03136) instead of reusing the old one, and instead of threads it has a plastic union that comes out the other end. This union is the same size as the second part number above, so I think the 5/16" line will be fine. I didn't want to reuse the old one because I didn't want to worry about the line coming off the threads of the old breather. If you do decide to reuse the old breather, then I think 1/4" tubing might be too narrow. You can see the original breather vs. the new one in the second post at the second link above.
