Checked my clearance earlier, and I can't slide my fingers in between the UCA and tire. You're good. ;)

    This is with 265/75-16 Duratracs.

OMETACO5LK plus LR UCA Installation on 2010 DCLB Sport

Before pic has pre-TSB leafs plus a Hellwig 550 helper spring on each leaf. Hub-to-fender distance on both front and rear is 21.0"

The after pic shows 23 3/8" in front and 23 5/8" at the rear.

    ALIGNMENT SPECS

    Left Front:

    0.6 deg camber
    1.6 deg caster
    0.05 deg toe

    Right Front:

    0.6
    1.9
    0.05

    Left Rear:

    -0.02 deg camber
    0.12 deg toe

    Right Rear:

    -0.03 deg camber
    -0.54 deg toe

    FIRST DRIVING IMPRESSIONS

The ride is much firmer, and even smoother if that makes sense. My perception is that the new shocks absorb the small road bumps much better than the stock Bilsteins. Going over pot holes and other larger bumps also seem smoother and quieter as the rear end is not clunking around and hitting the stops. Also, body roll is vastly improved with the new suspension. My ARE cap made the truck seem a little top heavy. That is no longer the case.

I did notice a couple oddities. First, the engine has never pinged before. Not ever. Now I occasionally hear slight pinging under moderate acceleration and low rpm (< 2k). I'm wondering if the higher stance creates more drag, and therefore more load on the engine. I also notice a little more wind noise. Both of these could be figments of my imagination as I scrutinized the truck much more than I would on a normal drive.

Axle wrap is completely gone. Axle wrap is what lead me to this mod.

Many thanks to all who posted their experiences with suspension mods on this thread.

Just went out and snapped a pic of my UCAs for comparison. Yours are WAY more angled than mine......i have about the same clearance to the side of my tire but my UCAs are above my tire so it doesn't matter in my case.

Wanted to follow up on this. I took mine apart because I had this on one side as well. A closer inspection shows that OME supplies you with 2 "thick" washers and one "thin" washer. I pulled mine apart, like I said, and re-assembled with the thicker washers on the far outsides. One on the top of the shock and one below the nut. Should be good now. It's super simple, the first side I took the wheel off but I realized on the other side I didn't even need to do that. Took like 5-10 minutes per side.

I have installed a complete OME HD suspension with Dakar springs and ARB bumper. The truck is a trd sport with 265/70R17 BF AT tires on factory rims. My problem is that the tires seem to be scrubbing frame at rear when I'm at full lock and flexing suspension causing wear on inside tread of tires. I have stock UCA's is that my issue?? I will put on a set of camburgs UCA's if this is the issue. I want to put on 285 tires but need to get this issue fixed first. Anyone else experience this issue?? Thanks.

Hmmm, never heard of anyone having that bad of rubbing issues with that size tire. That's what I have and the only place I was rubbing was on the little mini-mud flaps or whatever they are on the front of the front wheel wells.

Did you lift it? Or can you do it sitting on the ground. Did you use the existing washer that's bent or get a new one?

I did jack it up, but not sure if you really even need to to that...just need enough room to compress the shock down to get the top out of the frame.

I just re-used it....put the bent washer on the inside so it's against the frame, I don't think it'll hurt anything.

Yeah I didn't think it would of rubbed either. Here are some pic's I just took
See what you think. I don't think it happens during normal street driving just off road. When truck is sitting normal seems to have lots of clearance but when suspension flexes I guess it hits the frame and lower control arm?? Sorry about the rust I live in Canada! Dam salt brine.....

Not sure OZ the shop didn't give me a print out of numbers. It seems to handle same as new. I told them they probably couldn't get caster into spec because of the factory uca's but to get as close as they can. It maybe caused by my offset of factory wheels to. I think they are 5.5" BS and +30mm offset

Badgers, I don't need no stinking Badgers.
OK guys, I finally got my wheels and tires, and now the back looks to low.
So I am going to put my third leaf back in the dakar pack, any advice on how to go about it? can I do it while they are on the truck, or do I need to remove them fully?

Also I am worried about scraping up the paint and them then being more squeaky?
