Pics attached, sorry about the wait.

Last photo is the unsleeved bolt, fully inserted through the control arm showing the slight spacing around it. Perfect

Huh, because I just reveived a 2nd kit from moog on Thursday (ordered through RockAuto) & there is no difference from the old kits...

What part number lower control arms did you order? Possibly from a prerunner? Have you compaired the new control arms bushing to your stock arm bushing?

I just noticed the "8" on your cams, mine are not 8's. Is one bolt "smaller" in diameter then the other?

The parts numbers for the two Toyo LCA's are 48068-04040 and 48069-04040, both for the 4wd, although I imagine the Pre-Runners are the same numbers. I just reconfirmed with Camelback's parts diagrams that these are correct, which will make it the 4th time I checked. Can't be too careful with part numbers!

I haven't compared the new LCA bushings to the old, my truck is still together at this point. But that shouldn't matter, if you bought new bushings to install in your old LCA's, they should be the same. New LCA's come with new bushings and a new BJ already pressed in. It would be the same bushing no matter what.

Does your Moog kit have the bolt/washers like I took in the above pics? If not, maybe yours is still the old style?

I bought these Moogs fully expecting to throw half the kit away. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they all fit. From previous posts the bolt was too big to fit in the rear bushing. I did also reconfirm that RockAuto sent me the right part number for the job, two boxes of K100128.

I don't have a Vernier caliper to measure the difference in diameter, but yes, the bolt with the "826-8" cams is a slightly smaller diameter that the front bolt with the "826-3" and "826-4" cams.

You have to hold them back to back to see the difference, but there is definitely a difference

Yup I hear ya. I would like to replace them for the sake of replacing them, but right now I just want a bumper. But I'm glad to know that they have fixed the issue.

I looked up the street address for the shipping box that the Moog parts came in. It's to a Middle Atlantic Warehouse/Wholesale Distributors. My educated guess is RockAuto had my parts drop shipped from there. To extrapolate, I believe Moog got these updated kits to warehouses ASAP, because I certainly wasn't expecting two of these bolts to fit correctly when I made my purchase.

I wonder if those guys who have the kits with the incorrect bolt could show proof of purchase to Moog and have the correct one shipped to fix this problem?

DoorDing, I'm going to post my pics under your post to get the word out.

I'm still sceptical, no offense please. It's just that when Moog tech support called me back about the issue they confirmed that the current "kit" part number did fit all other stated vehicle (including all Tacoma's, except 4x4). Therefore I would assume when the 4x4 version was corrected they would have a different part number...just throwing it out for discussions.

I spoke with someone from Rock Auto on Wednesday and they weren't aware/educated on the original Moog kit being only partially correct.

They did the typical parts store look up by application and said that the kit would work :smack:

I put an order in so I'll let you guys know what I get.

Agreed, they took back the two kits I purchased back in November without a problem.

Understood, and it's great they fit. But... that would mean that kit no longer fits all the other vehicles listed. Confused!
