Well that was a PIA! I'm not sure I would recommend this project, But I'm only half done right now. I still need to do three more doors and possibly the roof. Although I had a hard time figuring out how to get the headliner down. I was a little nervous about the side air bags and messing with them. So I'll finish the doors and see how it goes. I will say that after doing the floor and the back it does seem a lot quieter.

Here is the truck striped of all of the interior.

Kind of an old bump, but just got around to installing mine. I received all my other components for my stereo, so decided to start. I only covered my doors and back wall and had about two sheets left. The product is excellent and made a drastic difference. I took a video showing the differences between a deadened and non deadened door and it is pretty drastic.

The only complaint (if any) of the product is the wax/contact paper. It never would come off the deadener clean and would have to use a knife to get the remaining paper off. Not a huge deal, but took some extra time.

    The adhesive is very sticky,
Try to keep the sheet cold and then peal it. It can be tricky when heating and applying and getting the wax paper off clean if it gets hot ;)

That was EXACTLY what I found and it worked like a champ. As long as you do not heat up the material BEFORE you remove the backing, it comes off MUCH easier! I also found that when we were having 80 deg weather that I didn't even need to use a heat gun, the Shok Mat was pliable enough.

I don't even want to know what the backing paper would have been if it was warmer. Was about 40 degrees in my garage on Sunday. I did not heat the mat until I removed the backing paper. Like I said, it was not a big problem, just got annoying when I was trying to get the sheet prepped for install.

Wow, that is surprising. I had a problem with it at first, but then I realized if I did not heat the Shok Mat before removing the backing paper it seemed to work better. It was a little tricky if there was a tear in the backing paper or the problem spots for me where at the folds where they folded the Shok Mat for shipping.
Anyway, I got to where it was no problem for me. Maybe you got a bad batch or maybe it was TOO cold????

I'm not saying the product was bad, the material is doing the correct job. I am just saying I had issues when it came to removing the wax/backing paper.

Group buy closed a long time ago.
I'll be hosting another one shortly.

Next one will be shaped a little differently as well.
    Stay tuned

I think I figured out why people have not been posting pics. Most of my customer base has not even installed their boxes yet. I fear the same issue with your product. I very there's a ton of people with good intentions to get this done, just have not been able to tackle them.

Might want to offer to help install any local guys. Just so you can snap some pictures.
