2014 Taco Back Up Camera Hack

    I have seen it done before, but wondering if anyone has had any luck in a hack to turn the back up camera on a 2014 Tacoma on/off with the flip of a installed switch.

    I believe you would have splice the switch into the reverse sensor line for the headunit so it doesnt activate the camera

    Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
    Easily done if you remove the lower dash, which is pretty easy as well. There is a connector behind the coin bin where the camera wiring lives, power up the red wire and you will have a camera anytime you want. Careful.. there are 2 red wired in that connector.

    I'm not really sure why anyone would want to do this, our cameras are aimed more at the bumper and trailer hitch. As I said in a previous post... it's not like you can check out the chickie in the car behind you, it's not that kind of a camera.,
