Where should I pay the most attention to on the frame? What areas to really get up in there??

Another question... So if they inspected it and said ok your good and just applied the under coating and say 2 years later it begins to rot, they will just say sorry can't help you????

I believe the areas with issue are the frame rail thats next to the front set of cats.

I offer less and settle somewhere, seems like a nice truck.

Call a bank and see what they will lend out on that year. Most people don't have the $20k and have to borrow. If the bank will do it then you should do it. I bought new because the bank gave away the note for 2.45% interest. I think you have a clean find there and his price is justified, but I only pay what everyone else can get. 20k down on brand new might be worth the payment for one or two years. Besides... 10 years from now you might get your $20k back!!!

I'd jump on that if it was me. Great looking truck and the price is reasonable IMHO.

Even if its a little over priced sometimes you have to pay a little extra to get what you want. Like you said its hard to find one with low miles in your area. Like me if I find a gun that is hard to find I don't mind paying full retail. You might kick yourself if you let it get away.

I cannot overstate the importance of buying a used vehicle from an owner that overly maintained an kept their vehicle clean, and I would pay a few grand more for a truck that clean. But thats me. I'm detail oreinted and extremely anal about my vehicles.

That being said that thing looks like a gem. If you can afford it go for it. I overpaid a bit on a 92 honda accord that I bought as a beater/DD but I bought it from an original owner with every service record, and an absolutely immaculate interior, engine bay and undercarraige. The car had 96k original miles....sure I could have shopped around and found a better deal but that car now has 245k and I'll ive touched is the alternator, battery, brakes and tires.

Friend of mine bought nearly the same car, only slightly higher miles but you could tell the car was used and the hood was never popped. Its a honda and its been reliable but its been in and out of the shop for little nonsene all the time. All little nonsense that I never had to worry about because my previous owner took care of his shit.

    Good luck

To your question... A quick search (10 mile radius of Chantilly, VA) showed 20k for an 07 Sport with 80k miles and $18k for an 06 Sport with 60k miles. Both 4x4 V6. I'd say if it's that clean, maybe start negotiations at $18k and roll from there. Just my opinion. Good Luck!!

Not the same truck, but maybe my experience will help you:

I bought, at the end of 2014, an '06 SR5 prerunner 2wd 6cyl. It was also single owner, owned by a man who bought the truck brand new at 70 years old. Vehicle was babied, had all maintenance records, including every gas purchase he ever made on the vehicle. Truck had just over 60k miles and I paid $15,000 for the truck. It needed new tires and the front crank seal is leaking a bit bit but even still I think I made a great purchase.

That being said, 20k is maybe a little high, if you can get it for a little less it seems like a good buy in my opinion.
