Total cost of truck $4,148.64 / Total I drove it 5,700.00km = $0.73 Per Km as of 3/21/2019

Total cost of truck = purchase price, all parts, accessory
this DOES not include fuel, insurance, licensing, my time

Total Km I have drove from when i purchased it

That seems like a reasonable number. I would probably cry if I did that math on my truck.

Just a update i sold a bunch of parts i did not need to a fellow toyota guy who is rebuilding a truck. I took the cost of them off the price of the truck as the cost to buy them in a group of used parts was included.

    I am at $3518.55 / 6050km = .58 per km

I plugged it in last night and set up a couple of the live gauge features. It seems to be very user friendly.

    So just a update

Last night a friend entered a pizza eating contest, had 20 min to finish this slice. The 20 min ran out but he was by far the closet to winning, he sat there until he could not eat anymore even when all the other contestents had packed it in a left he was determined to finish it. Hummm i wonder how he feals today ?

Not Taco related but very impressive in my books !

Still hard to believe that the brakes on this truck SUCK so much i am going to try again

I do not think that this truck has Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) because it does not have a button for it, but there is a ABS accumulator

Brake systems used to be so much easier to diagnose/fix.

    Sooooo

    Update on 007 taco pro

Had a mechanic friend help me today to try and figure out why the brakes suck.

Brought a scan tool from the garage he works at but for some reason it would not go into the abs. Brake bleed setting.

So we jacked up the rear pulled the drums and everything looked fine, brakes were re adjusted and bled both sides no air. Put in gear while rear was up in the air and the brakes were grabbing.

I adjusted the rear a few months ago and when pulled today they Needed to be done again. The amount of brake dust that came out when removed I thought was a lot.

Re assembled the rear. Pulled the drivers side wheel and the 4 piston calliper only seams to be working on two. Cleaned up pins and bled. Passenger side was much the same but with no stuck pistons.

    Moving forward

I will be replacing the callipers brake pads and rotors. I am going to start to research the tundra brake upgrade.

And no pictures of taco so here is one of Parker in a cement mixer drum E9C6D924-BA2D-4C8C-9ECF-5AE57B6E37E3.jpg

Pretty sure you are SOL on tundra brakes with a 2nd gen. You can however use the larger calipers and rotors from the V8 4runner you just have to replace dust shields.
