You'd be fine doing just shocks, your leaf springs don't even look saggy. Bilstein 5100s are popular because they ride good, they're inexpensive and easy to find. I found a specification on their website somewhere that showed they had slightly more travel than Old Man Emu shocks, that's why I got the Bilsteins.

Just the usual stuff, you might wear out CV axles faster and get annoying drivetrain vibrations, but those issues are more common on the 2005 + Tacos for some reason. You might get slightly worse MPG, and lift kits are a gateway drug to wanting bigger tires, locking differentials and other expensive truck parts.

    LOVE these builds.

Bought a new set of wheels this weekend, will be posting soon. I think what I'm leaning towards is the 5100s front/rear SKU9504BLK. At least until I'm ready for new tires.

On another note back to replacing the bench seat. Found a set of buckets out of 02 with no rips or tears. Do I need to ask about any other hardware (rails, bolts) or is it plug and play? I love the Corbeau or Recaro seat idea but I don't plan on investing that much just yet. Lastly, has anyone did a 2nd gen bucket seat swap in the the 1st gen?

Thanks my friend! Loved the TRD trails on your rig. They look super clean on the single cabs

For seats, look at Pro-Car by SCAT. Dual locking brackets are available too, which I needed in these pics:
