    Truck is currently in process of doing rebirth build sooo if your interested I've been debating purchasing the dc power 270amp alt for future upgrades to run around 3k rms to an aa mayhem 10

    Thanks man it sounds amazing... Behind that head unit I installed a alpine 445u mini amp powering 45rms to all 4 speakers type r coaxial 6.5s up front and type s 6.5s in the rear

    That's only when engine rpm is at a little more than 1k rpm... It kinda falls off below that in the 13s and if I'm bumpin hard it'll dip into the 12s so sitting at a stop light I'll just keep her idle up a little bit...

    But yea pretty solid... Paid 50 bucks for it from a salvage yard lol it was the best one they had took it to a guy and he had it re wound and what not no more lights dimming

    Total cost was around 270 to have it built... Right after I got it I hit that deer to so little use out of it... Probably end up posting it on here for sale one of these days

    It is indeed... If I was running a lot more current I would run ofc... But since the taco is around 1500 I honestly don't think ofc would make a difference... My GMC Sierra is gonna be running at 2500 rms 1ohm to 2 sundown audio x8s so we will see if i have issues with that or not

    The knukoncepts wire is some pretty good stuff. Im using 2 runs of 4 gauge (0 was just to thick i found) to my bass amp pushing around 1400-1700 depending on voltage to a mmats procast 15. Also got 8 gauge going to a 400watt 2 channel running a component set. After big 3 and adding a small kinetik battery i still get voltage drops in the 12s when at a idle...

    Yea I'm just using my one d1200 batt probably sending it back for warranty I just got back from work 2 weeks sitting at its voltage was at 6v... Probably upgrade to a d3400 if it will fit... Also gonna upgrade to a dc power alt then I'll fix all my problems lol

    If it was cold out, the amp would go into safe mode, and it would randomly cut out. Replaced it with same gauge OCF and problem went away.

    Dont understand why it would it would go into protect unless the voltage to the amp would be less with the cca. Ive got a voltmeter at my starting battery and one at my amp. for the most part i dont get any voltage loss at all using the cca. I did use ofc for the big 3 and speaker amp though (just because i had it)

    OP look here, Bama has done the work...these ALT are awesome, I have the 200amp version, but you could go to the 250...problem solved. It's the same as the factory AMP so the install is simple
