That's an even way better idea. In fact I posted how I installed a factory style switch at post 181. Memory short have I.

I just removed my drl relay and jumper that came oem on my tacoma. Installed led flasher. My rear turn signals only work now. My front signal bulbs are 3157 dual filament. Do I need to replace them with 3156 single filament bulbs in order to have my front turn signal fuction again.

    Any suggestions?

What kind of LED flasher did you install? The Toyota part number off of the relay I removed from my '09 Taco to install DRL is #81930-02030. If you don't want DRL scroll up and see the links for disabeling the DRLs. It only involves clipping one wire or installing a switch.

I sold my drl mod and replaced it with this flasher. I currently haven't converted my rear turn signal to leds but they work still and my front signal don't work for some reason. Do u have 3157 or 3156 bulbs in your front turn signals?

If your front turn signals worked before you installed the new module I would think the module is the problem.

I don't have any idea which bulbs are in my Taco.

Do your front lights illuminate when you turn on your parking lights?

I am not sure what you are looking for. Most links posted are for the relay and jumper to activate the DRL. You will not find anything looking for DRL per se. There is nothing labled "DRL kit" or anything of that nature.

If you have the two speed wipers consider the variable speed wipers. :)

There is a thread on that also and much easier than the DRL. Then cruise...

Again, there is no "kit." It is only two parts, a relay and a jumper. Toyota part numbers # 82241-04030 is a relay and Part # 81980-35020 is a jumper.

Go back to post #1 and reread it. It shows those part numbers, where to order them, and step by step instructions on how to install them. Very simple, just go back to post #1.

I am going to do this to my 08.

Did any one have any trouble with the "unclipping" of the various parts? That's the only parts on this install that scares me a bit.

Well, on my 09 there were more options so I had more clips. The grey cover is a PITA to get off. It is supposed to unclip. I ended getting a pair or pliers and getting it out that way. No damage to the plug. If you pull the whole fuse block out it will make it easier I would think. I just didn't want to take it all out. Have a copy of the picture from the DIY on hand to cross reference.

I did this on my '09. Pull out all of the plugs from the fuse block and unscrew the fuse block. All of the plugs will only fit their particular sockets so there is no chance of getting anything screwed up. And the way the plug wires are bent their "memory" will also tell you where they go when you put them back.
