    So I had to work today... :pout:

    But I decided to get this bumper on anyway. :yay:

    Got parked under my front overhang in front of the garage:

    Pulled the stock one off pretty easily - I only took the lights out because I was going to replace them with another set I have - Decided to save that for another time.

    I see now how there are these rectangular "box" pieces... they have the threaded nut welded to them so I put them back in for now... I see I'll also need another pair of nuts & bolts for the frame support bracket too. If you could let me know the size & length needed it would be much appreciated!:D

    I'm going to retrofit the stock fog lights in tomorrow if I can get the time. I'm pretty sure I figured out how I'm going to do it. should just require one L bracket & a few nuts & bolts. :cool:

    I've had the good fortune to see many of the various aftermarket plate bumpers that are available in person. There are some really great products available to us out there!
    I think I made the right decision by going with Tim's product.

    • The welds are impeccable
    • The design is distinctive
    • The finish is Top Notch
    • The fit is "like a glove"

    I have various sizes of 1/2" bolts at work. I used 2" long ones for where you are talking about the rectangular boxes. For the bracket I used 3 1/2" long bolts to bolt it to the frame.

    The stock fog light should be a larger diameter than the 4" opening in the bumper, but I'm sure you can figure something out.

    Did you have it shipped already powder coated? How did it hold up in transit?

    Pretty well I'd have to say... Tim bubble wrapped & shrink wrapped the hell out of it.

    Now today the bumper took its first hit...

    Ran into a trailer hitch on the back of a Ford Excursion... :facepalm:

    Put a nice 6" long crease in it. :rolleyes:

    I was parking & this guy had one of those big weight distributing hitches in the receiver... I didn't see it when I pulled into the spot & I whacked it pretty good. :eek:

    seems like people always wreck with there new bumpers with in the first few days of having them. maybe i should send stickers that say "warning will cause increase of confidence" hahaha

    I'm planning to mount some 2nd gen fogs on my bumper using something along the lines of this method. I originally was thinking some modified brackets would work but like was said they are bigger than the holes. Since their mounting sticks out the back it ends up being pretty far from the mounting bracket Tim provides. I decided using a bracket wouldn't be secure enough to keep them from bouncing around.
