    Hey guys,

I recently bought a 2011 Tacoma Sport TRD Double Cab short Box 4x4.

I have lifted a few Toyota's in the past, and know what I am looking for.

I want a smaller lift to fit 32" tires.

I am looking for a 2"front and 2" rear lift. I would like to keep some rake.

I have done a lot of homework and it seems all lifts have their con's. Help me decide which is the best lift.

I want a smooth ride, would like to keep it stock stiffness or a little softer.

    1) 5100 with OEM springs @ 1.75" lift.

    Con - Stiffer than stock

    2) Eibach coils with 5100 @ 0" setting- @ 1.6" lift.

Con - Look a lot lower than the 1.75" Bilstein's. A little lower lift than I had wanted.

    3) OME 885 without top plate - 1.75"

Con - Most people record more than 2" of lift.

So far I am leaning toward the 885's due to the great reviews.

    Please post your input.

I live in a very LOW underground parking lot. Inches matter. I do not want 285/70/17 tires, and a 3" lift on 265's looks a little odd.

885s might get you more lift than you want, 884s are the same spring rate but about 3/8 shorter. You would be closer to 2" with those probably

I had read this as well, just every webpage I visit shows the 884's for reg cab and access cab.

I would hate to run the 884's and be unhappy with the lift. Has anyone run 884's on a DC?

With the right tires it looks fine IMO. I'll never step up to 285's at this point.

884s on my access cab gave me exactly 2" of lift, so your DC will maybe get a little less (maybe 1.75") but should still suit your needs. I paired them with 5100 shocks set at 0 and I love the ride

    3inch toytec coils 5100's, aal(soon to be replaced), 33/12.5 km2s, + a money hole...
Why not do coilovers up front that way you can adjust exactly to what you want/need.. And do a 2inch aal or a dakar leaf pack...
Id do a leaf pack it possible...instead of aal saggin after time

For the rear I was planning the Icon 5-1100 3 leaf AAL. I have read nothing but great reviews.

Dakar's are rated at 2.75" of lift, and I worry the rear will be to ass-high.

    So my plan is:

884's + Taco lean trim package
    Nitrocharger front

    Icon 3 leaf AAL rear
    Nitrocharger rear

Basically the same setup as the '12 Longbox below. After all the reading I have done it seems to be the best 1.75-2" setup around.

Which are the better OME shocks? The 9000's or the N14OS?

    So far pricing:

    toytec:
    OME 884
    OME9000 Sport shocks
    Trim packaer
    Toytec AAL for TSB Springs
    OME N182 rear shocks
    Pre-assembled front coils

    Using coupon code.
    Total: $765.78
    Shipping: $76.75

    DSM:
    OME 884
    OME9000 Sport shocks
    Trim packar
    Icon AAL
    OME N182 rear shocks

    Total: $909.47
    Coils do not come prebuilt!

I do, 884 gave me 2" of lift and leveled my 2012 Double Cab with TSB on rear leafs. I also have 32" tires, no rubbing after the front flaps came off.

Monkey, yours was one of the trucks I saw in the thread I listed that sold me on the 884's on a double cab.

Your truck and Rustic's DCLB looked great!
