Whatevers the best solution here I'm open to. Don't want to go out to a parts store in this heat if the maf isn't the culprit. Shits just scary when it goes limp mode on the road

They’re acting like that many weights is normal. I’m fighting them on it but am I crazy?

I’ve literally never seen that many before on a good wheel/tire combo. They can’t find my key either so that’s fun.

It's an artifact of the early 5VZE, only a handful of trucks had them. No idea about deleting it :notsure:

don't buy a cheap aftermarket MAF, these old trucks don't like them

You tried cleaning the one on the truck? Cleaning the one on my 4runner really helped with a wonky idle and throttle lag I was having

honestly it's worth teeing the lines together and trying to bypass the VSV to find out if that is causing the issue. I'm betting that it's there to help cold starts or something but probably isn't necessary in the southwest

I taped it all back down and it still was doing it. (The vsv line) Already cleaned the maf sensor and still nothing. Happy coolant isnt going anywhere, but the maf comes as one unit like this:

I bought the bse one from autozone. Will try it later, meh

Weird because as soon as I let off the throttle the truck starts again.

Sometimes you can rotate the tire on the wheel to offset each other a bit and reduce the number of weights

That's the same kind of MAF my 96 T4R has. Different than the later 3.4 years. I was getting real low/near stalling idle occasionally and every once in awhile while accelerating it was like the truck lost 75% power before it would just surge back. Cleaned the MAF and never had either happen again. I would try cleaning it first if you haven't, I don't ever hear good things about those cheap MAFs on these trucks. If they work they don't work for long

Will do, lemme verify it's the culprit and ill return the autozone one once we link. Thank you

It's all i have for now other than risking being rear ended if it dies on me. There's no denso version of this maf sensor, if zane can help me it'll be a good solution

No luck. They tried that and still almost a pound of weights at best. Getting with discount direct for replacement right now.

And they found my lug key but I had to basically beg them. And it is proprietary compared to any Gorilla lug key they had.

    Appreciate?

    No way.

Flipping by hand is standard, any other way is punishable.
