Same here...drilled roof rack, welded sliders, drilled fender and riveted a-pillar for the snorkel...that ship has sailed for me.

No one has mentioned Stubbs yet? They're weld on and they are as tough as sliders can get. Mine took a 25 MPH broad side hit from a Cherokee and only bent 1/2". The hit was dead center on my b-pillar. I thought for sure my rig would be totaled. To my surprise I was able to open my drivers door and there was zero damage to the rig. They've also run tons of hard crawling trails. The only time I managed to dent them was coming off of something on the Dusy. Give Richard Stubbs a call before you buy anything else. A big thumbs up for a great guy and a great slider.

I know they were supposed to be sliders, just making fun of them as that sounds like how a running board would perform.

I hear that. But I wouldn't hesitate to throw shade if you were confident of the brand. That's not how sliders should perform, lol.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
I know what ya mean... Cut about 8 inches off the bottom of my bed sides. Eliminated the tailgate... and snorkle is supposed to be here Tuesday.

Welding sliders was a no brainer.

Should post this stuff in the 3rd gen section where they're talking about their favorite brand of tire shine.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

I just see some of the dumb topics that come up on the main (most recent) board.

I have a couple buddies with 3rd gens and they just sake their heads in wonder and dumbfoundedness at some of the dumb shit 3rd Genners post.

All I remember is that one weekend a while back where 3 guys in 3rd gens managed to roll their trucks all in the same general area. Like were they not told that crawl control doesn't prevent rollovers? lol

Damn, that looks good! You have any side pics of the high clearance back bumper? Also, what brand is it? I was looking for one of those as well.

Well I looked around for a RSG weld on Rock slider thread for first gen Tacomas or 3rd gen 4Runners but didn't see any on Tacoma world or on t4r.org. I have been so back and forth on which sliders I want to go with. Must have changed my mind 100 times lol. BAMF and RSG were my final two and I finally pulled the trigger tonight on RSG, big reason being the lead time is only 2-4 weeks compared to 8 to 12 weeks for the BAMF sliders. The RSG is angled at 15 degrees and I chose bare metal. Gonna use some self etching primer and Rust-Oleum bed liner I think. Anyway super stoked I've been wanting sliders for quite some time! These are actually going to go on my 97 4Runner but good chance they will go on my 2000 taco when the time comes.
