Glad to see that bumper 'held on' for another winter.

 

This is in Terra Nova Newfoundland ....... People nick named Newfoundland the "Rock" as most everywhere you go is just that ROCK but Terra Nova is just the opposite its ALL sand. There are sand pits everywhere ! excellent to play in on the dirt bike

Not much left to the bumper I think the plastic is holding it together lol

 

Maybe they should have made the frames out of plastic.

 

02 Tacoma exhaust fell off last weekend when off-roading in Tn. Had to drive 3 hours on the tch with wide open pipes, I had ear plugs in no lie. So after a week of pissing of the neighborhood i had to fix it today. Cut the rest of it off with the grinder went to get parts, then back to get the magical metal glue gun ! Weld weld weld This section always goes. I use a step up size pipe to go from stock to the 2.5 magnaflow cat back. I slide a flange on till it hits the bigger step up. line up with cat back flange tack take out and burn all around then cut off the rest of step up clear as mud ?

Rear o2 sensor the sensor part rusted and blew out. Went to replace and the nuts and studs were toast. Got one stud out and made a replacement. Other cracked off tried to weld a nut on it but it will have to be drilled out at a later time. Welded over where the sensor went on the old flange to stop the whistling exhaust.

So this is a cat back magnaflow exhaust that is about 6-7 years old. The shine has gone off of it but I have never had a problem with this part of the exhaust on this truck. I also use ultra copper high heat gasket maker on all the joins with a crush gasket. I could of done a cleaner job with the gasket maker but this is KEY to stop leaks at flanges.

Ya a good canoe is as long as these trucks.
Part of the reason I really like my canopy: its got a little rail on it that makes canoe transport a breeze.

Canoe also doubles as a roof over my kitchen.

 

Just thought i would put up some pictures of my Bilstein 5100 shocks after 18817 km and total of 17 months and half of the 17 months were in the summer. I would expect them to look better then they do. The stickers outlasted the special coating WTF !

Also changed the transfer case oil for the first time sense i owned it, a front drive shaft T case seal is leaking

 

Just a few updates
Pulled the codes on the 2002 and the p0141 has not fixed itself

 

Went to Upick last week as they got a 2004 2wd tacoma in. I was giving a guy in my local toy group a hand to get the box. I open the door and find a NEW bumper got it for $19.95

IF anyone is interested i now have my 007 Taco Pro on the road after a year long wrenching adventure. The plan is to stop driving my 02 in the winter and start restoring it.

While searching the Local kijiji i found a new front passenger side fender for my 2002, messaged the seller and got it for $50
