Mine was the same way after the throttle body cleaning. Drive around for a little it goes back to normal.

I'm due to work on a lot of these things. What I love about working on Toyota trucks is how easily accessible it all is. It's not at all difficult to do all of the maintenance yourself.

Another good example of the Sticky threads: There's a local guy who advertises in the paper... "Will reset your service light, guaranteed. $65.00" So, I'm wondering just how many fools go pay this guy to do what you can yourself with a flippin' Google search...

    Good work, well done!!!

If you can't change your own oil, you should have your balls cut off. Especially with this truck, its high enough you don't have to jack it to drain it and you can get to the oil filter while standing up. Now if you are bringing it to the dealership for oil changes to keep the warranty I understand that, but any time after that warranty period, there is no excuse. I used to do the oil changes on my old truck during smoke breaks.

Good to hear! I'm putting many miles on my Taco, want to do a lot of preventative mainetenance. What did you mean by Full Tans flush? Drain and fill or?

I saw the sticky on the flush and fill, but it looks like only half of the oil comes out this way?

There is a process you have to take where you pull the tranny line up by the radiator and turn on the truck let the fuild come out little by little and fill it little by little until eventually its flushed completely

I did a write up on how to clean the throttle body with pictures. Do a search for that, I show the maf sensor in the write up. I'm sending this from my cell or I would post the link.
