2012 Door Chime Disable

    Not sure if im posting this in the correct forum but here goes, does anyone know how to disable the annoying door chime on the 2012 Taco? I barely bought it Monday and already the damn thing has me annoyed!!

    Very true, usually- but now Toyota (and all auto manufacturers) are going the route of locking that kind of thing up in firmware, and unless you have the key (software interface) you are out of luck. Same with the seatbelt chime on my 2012.

    Just tried to have dealer do this butthey couldnt see it as an option in the computer. Only available tweak was the seat belt chimes. Are we sure its an option in all 2012's? I would really like to do this as I like to have doors open for listening and I dont want to loose my dome light switch by disconnecting it. even better would be to make the stereo work when key is out like my mercedes does.
