@nashsnazzy check out some of the recent chat re crossover location. I personally would NOT put them behind kick panel. I already moved one and I am going to move the other as well to get rid of constant hissing noise.

@1sttruckguy78 @Mr Marv - Just got off the phone with Mr. Marv and he reassured me that audio speakers are built to withstand the little bit of moisture that can get back inside the door cavity. Gonna work on moving my other crossover now

Complete Kicker audio system (4 channel amp, mids and tweets in the front, 2 ways in the back, 2 10 inch comp rt subs, Zxsum8, alpine pdx 1.600 boxes and amp rack by Mr Marv), Pop & Lock, Mobtown locking bed storage doors, Bilstein 5100s, Katzkin Leather interior, Redline Hoodstruts, Backflip.
That's what I figured. I was going to say I wouldn't be worrying about it too much as long as your wire isn't sitting on the bottom of the door where it can sit in it.

The only hissing noise I get is if I have the radio on with the volume high and there isn't anything playing.

How would having the crossovers in the kick panels introduce hiss? How do I get in touch with Mr Marv guy. ? :)

And crossovers can in fact induce noise into the system when placed too close to certain other vehicle electronics/ecu etc which are sometimes in kickpanels/under dash etc (I believe it is the inductors picking up noise but I can't remember for sure). The craziest situation I ever had was a buddy of mine installed his crossovers under the dash of his El Camino and every time he honked the horn it caused noise through the left speaker. He brought it by for me to check out and it turned out the crossover was too close to the horn relay which was malfunctioning (took it apart and contacts were not lined up causing it to arc)

Thanks for chiming in Marv. It's always good to get your expertise in the conversation.

@1sttruckguy78 @Mr Marv - I saw this from another thread by bginvestorhttps://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/another-kickass-audio-build.422505/ Starting on post #20 he mentions installing "isolators" under his amp to minimize vibration which can loosen the soldering over time? Marv do you recommend some rubber washers under the amp?

    * I apologize I am not very computer savvy. I wish I could have taken you directly to that link*

BTW, I have never personally seen an amp that failed from too much vibration but I figure better safe than sorry especially since it doesn't cost much. :)

Thanks Jeremy and things are still chaotic (on top of everything else I had a water pipe burst under the house!) but I'm coming along!

Thanks Guys! Jeremy, any time you get sick of my questions/posts let me know. I figure, you started a great thread why add another thread when there are already over 192 PAGES of 3rd gen topics as it is! bginvestor has a top notch thread going but it is WAY over my head.

Interesting, I have my crossovers tucked into the cavity behind my kick panels and no issues.

X2. I've installed amps on a few UTV's that are long travel and the amps are holding up just fine with all the vibration/shock from jumping.

Not pretty but it passed - with a little help from Mr Marv :)! Cranked up a little Satriani on my way to pick up eggs tonight.

Next step sub box/amp rack from Mr Marv

Note: if you look closely at my LOC wiring I have the blue remote wire from Speedwire going into "Rem In" and then "Rem Out" to my sub. With this setup - no juice to LOC or amp. I then moved the remote from Speedwire to "+12v" input and then everything worked.
