I guess I'll be the first to say, this is a pretty disappointing thing to read from you @Crom.

Dick thing to say, especially over friendly competition for some free stuff.

Quick quote @DCSBFTMFW as for the comment @Crom, I've never been shy about the fact I had my truck build by a professional. I've never tried to pretend like I did the work. For the record I did help, a shit load. For 7 months I went from 5 down to 4 days a week at work just so I could do a 10 hour day working with Cody. I'm lucky we are friends and I was even allowed to do it.
I consider myself lucky that I had the means to make that happen, I worked my butt off for the money for the build. I own the truck outright and have never owed a cent on it. Never took out any credit for the build at all. It is a build, it happened this year, owned by a member so yes it damn well qualifies.

I wanted the highlight of my build to look something like this
    IMG_8745.jpg

    And not this.
    IMG_8733.jpg

I realize this website is more interested with cargo bins and refrigerators than fabrication but don't knock my build. It is truly one of the cleanest well put together solid axle builds of any make and I am very proud to own it.

Jimmy, you did as much building on your truck, or more than, any of the other contenders. They did not build most of the parts they are bolting on. You helped in the design, was there during fabrication and helped with the assembly. You have every right to be proud and deserve to win!

I think you nailed it on the head @bayareataco, I would guess that probably 80% of the builds on here are not built but bolted on. Just for your truck to go through all that is impressive man as Im sure you have already had some overwhelming comments about it. Its not like this site is called FabricatorWorld, many of the builds that require fab work end up going to a shop for work...mine included. Furthermore, SAS to me seems to be a little more complicated and require a decent extent of fabbing. Unless the limited group of guys who are bashing literally fabbed up EVERYTHING on their builds that required it, then they cant talk as they are in the same boat. Dick measuring is what it sounds like.

Look fellas, we're all here because we love and respect the Toyota Tacoma (and others) platform.

All of our skills and abilities are quite varied. Some of us are just starting our truck "building" journey, and haven't made it to the fabrication level yet.

While completely fabbing, your own stuff is impressive and held in seemingly high regard, the term "Build" has been quite general.

We need to respect other's "builds" and let the community vote. @bayareataco your truck is so stinkin' cool. Same with you @Crom .

Isn't it simply an honor that 10's of thousands of people think your two trucks are worthy of "Build of the Year"? Shit. I need a big boy job so I can afford 98% of the cool shit you fellas do. We're all jealous....trust me.

Now, go vote for me for Mod of the Year. Thanks.

No. But I can still be voted for...lol.

Every vote for @Roll Tide is a vote stolen from some other person.
