personally i'd love to be closer to the floor. I had to modify my 4runners seat brackets to lower it two inches. Im 6'8" so maybe a mid size truck isnt ideal for me, but everything lately starts and sits higher than the older vehicles. I think its meant for women its so high up on some models.

My complaint isn't really with the seat hight. It's the offset between the peddles and wheel. I'm not a tall guy (5'10"). Simply put Toyota's seem to match those with shorter arms and legs. Even Lexus uses the same offset. The only Toyota I've been that does seem a bit better are Tundras. Unfortunately they don't fit down trails so well. And that's a requirement.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love for the seat to sit higher, because as an occasional boot wearer, low seats suck. If you wear boots, you know what I'm talking about. But it's not a full size truck, so that can easily forgive.

Uhhhh apparently you find it comfortable to sit there and hyper extend your back all the time. In fact that would be bad posture.

I'm 6'1" and have found I have plenty of leg room

Unfortunately I have found there isn't enough head room under the steering wheel for my wife even with the seat all the way back

You may want to write to Toyota to express your displeasure with that and see what they say. :D

I'm 6'9 and I have the opposite problem from the OP. Leg room is OK for me (I take a generous view on "enough"). But the headroom is not enough. I'm thinking about lowering the seat.

Sitting with a decent posture, my head touches the ceiling. I'm worried that in a collision I'll break my neck. I'm thinking about trying to mill and weld some lowering brackets.

I really wish the seat height was adjustable.

In all seriousness, I would think that for someone who is 6'9" head and leg room would be a very big deal

I assume most vehicles are made for us average people

As you mentioned it is both comfort and safety. I wonder if there is a place you can get custom brackets to lower seats

Great business idea! Come up with an aftermarket device to raise and lower the seat bottom = big $$$

Just saying, if someone is going to call us dumb asses, they really should use proper English. Otherwise it's clear who the real dumb ass is and we can't have that.
