I’d be curious to see what the auto is like these days. I won’t give up my manual but I’m curious how much different it is than when I got rid of that turd

My truck was manufactured before the crank rotor corrosion coating problem started.. or at least my engine was. That's according to Toyota of course. No free CKP for me. Wait, that's moaning. Gotta stop that

I'm actually a qualifier apparently in that sweepstakes. Got notified earlier this summer...still running factory. Should get it done, it's just a pain cuz it runs fine.

Friday I hit 9.1 over 98 kms in 1 hr.

So this tactrix cable...I'm finding in the range of 2-3 hundy...is that the solution?

I would still swap it out if I were you.. I am assuming you have already. Mine was actually hitting the Reluctor on the crank. Damn thing had a grove cut in the tip of it you could catch a fingernail on. The new CKP was .008” shorter according to my depth mic.

Yeah changed it out some time ago as a preventive measure. It was scratched and had some rusty metal bits stuck to it.

Flashed mine with the OEM TSB 04B13 calibration file this morning. The truck does drive well with this file. I can’t wait to see what Matt does with the 1.05 04B13 tune.

    Exactly.

Much better base tune to work with I'd think.

Rather than spending time and effort on all the driveability issues, he can focus more on power and throttle feel enhancements.

Yeah the 04B11 stock tune my truck had had a handful of issues itself. Pre ignition knock being the worst of them. The second gear lag was horrible with the 04B11 file too.

Right on, glad you are heading home.

Get on it, 04B13 is totally worth the effort IMO.

Do you have techstream set up?

The idea of flashing the updated stock tune/04B13 over the 1.04 OVTune even if it is an improvement over the factory tune just doesn't make sense to me. I am going to wait for Matt to incorporate the update into 1.05, hopefully soon....

The only reason I did was curiosity. I think it’ll go a long way to making 1.05 even better
