If there is still Atkinson timing on the FO tune, but the window is so small anyway, then what was changed to create the FO maps? Trying to understand the difference, sorry.

Interested in following your progress on the ACIS testing. Thanks for the hard work Mat

i for sure hope it's what we think it is. this is all i ever wanted from this motor after i got the picture of the 3500rpm surge. if it can surge at 3500, can it surge from down low and throughout the range? let's find out. i swear i've actually been dreaming about this since before OV even showed up here. i'll never even look at another Atkinson, numbly tuned, or buzzy motor ever again after this.

Speaking of "buzzy", as others have mentioned, with this new FOB tune the engine just sounds happier. Even up to the new redline it sounds happy. Stock, anywhere near redline sounded like it was screaming for help.

There is definitely a change in the sound of the motor. With all the work and all that has been found in the stock tunes, I do feel that OVT is better for the motor and longevity.

Tune for ACIS off. Repeat with on. Compare Dyno graphs. Merge tunes with crossover at torque crossover between the two. Done.

I don't know if it's RPM only. If load is a factor then you'll need to dyno each tune at partial loads as well. Bringing back my gen 1 Hondata days. :sniff:

    Didn't think of that! Lol
Can I download with flashmanager and then flash like I normally would (dongle user)?

You'll need tech stream. You can find all the information you need here

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/software-update-for-the-manual.562550/

If you already have all the tuning software installed, you already have the drivers installed so can skip all those steps and just choose the tactrix adapter.

    Its pretty simple

So I got the cable in the mail today. Am I ready to go? just identify my ecu and get going? or do I still need to email ovtune and wait?

Check ID, download tunes, have fun.

if you get the issue with P5Flash closing automatically / crashing.. do the "install OVTUNE cable drivers" from flash manager menu

Well I downloaded and installed. Can't get it to take the text code nor do I see where the tactrix adapter is a choice anywhere. To bad there isn't a way to do it using the OV Tune software. Thanks anyway, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Especially if it's that simple!

?Hi guys, quick question, I downloaded and flashed the 93fob tune for 04B41-MT. Does this tune have a 6900rpm limit?, I tried it and hit fuel cutoff at 6250. thanks!

Once you get TS to open, that’s when you can go in and select the tactrix interface

I’d double check you haven’t missed a step in the instructions, lots of people have followed it without issue
