Ah a distribution terminal, I was recalling what is done at a refinery. Terminals may do what they want if there 3rd party.....??? Yet another variable

Some refinery’s own gas stations, from plant to gas station, no middle man. I know of a few.

FWIW, I have a local station with ethanol free 89. Their 87 and 93 are both ethanol. Not sure how or if this plays into the conversation.

I’d wager 14 or more average if you drive 65 or less based on what I’ve seen with mine.

10-12 is the worst I’ve ever seen with my MT with strong headwinds, cold weather and shitty fuel.

So I posted the other week about the dead spots in the accelerator in a pretty long post that I think kicked off a couple pages of discussion. I just wanted to share something for anyone that may be having those same issues or really any at all: try 93 gas on 91 FOB tune.

I loaded 91 FOB last week and am keeping 93 gas in it and my truck LOVES it. The issues I discussed in my last post are still there, but for some reason this combination seems to mask it much more so than running 93gas/93 FOB. To be honest I wish I would’ve loaded this setup from the get go. My truck drives much much better on this setup than the 93 FOB.

I will say as with loading any tune the difference was not immediate. First couple days it felt the same, but it’s starting to settle in and I notice a pretty big difference. I don’t drive a lot (live less than 2 miles from work) so the settle in period may be less for others.

I think it was your suggestion that led me to try it but I just felt the need to let everyone know it works!! Lol

I’m sure this question has been answered in the past 500 pages but, does anyone know if modifications such as different exhaust or snorkels are safe with any of these tunes? Or can the computer relearn those minor differences?

Differences are fairly minor and several people here already have mods like this. The ECU can adjust to compensate, but custom tuning for edge cases will be available in the future.

Do you need to do the TSB or just need TS?

Thanks @lapoltba I would have had to go searching for that file on my tuning laptop.

Went from 1.05 93 to 1.05 91 over the weekend and although I don't have a ton of miles on it yet I feel, like others have mentioned, that the performance is better than the 93 tune for whatever reason.

All right everyone, I emailed @OVTune But its honestly super annoying that every response is going to take several days.

Edit - ovtune replied fast, my apologies

I am getting an error message that the dongle cannot be found, and to make sure I have updated the drivers. I see several people having issues but no real solution. Anyone know how to fix?

Do you have the Tactrix selected:
    upload_2019-3-25_13-31-58.jpg

If it is not available in the dropdown, did you install the drivers?

    there is no more dongle.

be sure you go into your windows defender and antivirus and make the exception so it doesn't immediately shut things down "defending" your computer.
