i think it's weird that it exists at all on a MT. makes just as much sense as the accumulator and tall R gear. ask seatbelt Mike. i'm just glad my truck doesn't have HSA or it would be one more thing to mod out. all the work to re-simplify this truck, nuts...

My apologies to the group. It looks like I mixed a couple of references and got confused.

I suspect that it is mechanic on the Sports (versus the electronic version that uses ABS the ATs) since I will lock with the engine off. They are called line locks and are sometimes used for parking brakes instead of the cables.

I was surprised by it. I definitely don't need it, but it has some value and has not been intrusive enough for me to want it gone.

It's there on the sport. Holds for about 3 seconds.

But if you play with the clutch on the hill, you can keep the truck "floating" so it rolls properly.

Either way, it's there, it's not hurting anyone and it's not ruining any trucks. Boo hoo lol.

Any guys experiencing a stumble or hesitation around 2500-3000 RPMs post tune?

I'm on 87 FOB, tried base with hesitation notably worse. Only seems to happen going up slight incline at freeway speeds under load.

Sent logs to zendesk and haven't heard back in a couple weeks. I know he's busy with the new tune.

Have no desire to read through 590 pages, but does this tune offer a substantial performance gain, vs. the revised (free ) Tune from Toyota under the Auto/Manual TSB? I have no desire to run 91 either, unless it’s a massive power gain.

I feel like a cliffnotes version of an answer to your question is on pages 1 - 346. I'd start there.

While 87 might not give the performance you require, it WILL make a noticeable difference. Bigger gains on 91, but since you don't want 91 gas, then there is only so much Mat can do with 87 gas.

    So yes and no

    LOL.

You aren't going to get much out of an NA motor. There are some marginal power gains, but the biggest improvement is in driveability and predictably. The power delivery is much better with the tune and throttle response is not bi-polar like the stock tune.
