You need the files in the thread below. Since you don't have a techstream subscription, you can't download the TSB files using it.

Before you launch TS, you have to swap the mainmenu.exe file as noted in the post. If you didn't do that, uninstall and try again.

 

Looks like he got it. He wouldn't get as far as looking up TSBs without getting the "software mod" correct.

87FOB absolutely changed how my truck drives. I'm just being an impatient moron when I said I was bored with it. The gear head in me wants 2.0 NOW lol

Regarding ignition ping running 87. I haven't listened for ping with 87FOB, but I definitely heard it on stock tune.

Is ignition ping just common running this motor on 87? Or have tunes helped?

 

It depends. I can't remember 04B12, but I definitely had it on 04B13 and 87 FOB. Only in hot weather.

 

Ok hit rev hang multiple times on the way home. Usually 2nd gear between 3-4k rpms during hard acceleration.
Can run logging if it will help kill this demon.

Thats the one that is the most annoying that I always talk about. Revs pretty much stick in place and ruin the shift. Infuriating!!!!

I looked at some of the recent pages of this forum. Can someone quickly recap 2.0 for me? All I saw was less rev-hang. Also any added power? (I know but I’m curious ) Got afe exhaust btw and anzo headlights

 

No 2.0 yet, just a test file put up and now taken down. Another updated test file coming soon..ish
Both are not full version of 2.0 to be released. Just Mat doing his magic ironing out a few wrinkles!

After a 60 mile round trip commute today, thru canyons, over hills, winding my way to work, my feedback from the test file as follows... For me, rev hang is gone. I tested the 1>2 @3500 some suggested and there was no hang. Most noticeable in my rig, prior with stock and 1.05 was 5-6000 rpm. No hang there either. Very...very pleased with that. Acceleration definitely more linear and predictable. I was in the same gears for the same grades as on 1.05 91 fob. I felt no throttle surge with the test file. Maybe slightly less oomph down low(33.5s and 3 inch lift, on 1.05 would still get up and go) than before, but maybe that's the trade off idk. Overall good feel very smooth and predictable. Only have about 70 miles on it so if anything changes for better or worse I'll comment

 

Received my OVTune today, and promptly emailed my information. Can't wait to get tuning!

 

Anyone else noticing slightly less MPG with 2.0 beta? Particularly at highway speeds. I usually drive 80-85mph and live in central KY with can be pretty hilly on interstates and highways but I’ve been noticing 1-2 less mpg since I flashed 2.0 but it could be that the roads I’ve been driving are more hilly than others, not sure yet. Just wanted to poll the crew. Thanks

 

I've been getting 3-4MPG better gas mileage.
